Took my 13-year-old son for a 2-night getaway to Tall Pines to do some fishing and off-road trail bike riding in the area. Super-friendly owners; property is basic but well-kept. Loved the free-range chickens! Cottages are a bit dated, but for the money they are clean and a great value and sit right on the waterfront of Keyser Pond. We went mid-week so had the place almost to ourselves which made our stay nice and quiet, aside from the distant sound of traffic from the secondary highway located across the pond. But it wasn't intrusive. Loved the screened-in porch overlooking the pond. Have to bring your own towels and bed linens but again for the price, this was fine with me. Free use of canoes/paddle boats (good fishing); a sandy beach for swimming and there's a fire pit; also a nice little rec room with a ping pong table, lots of used books, toys and board games; can picture it being a great nighttime hangout for kids. I went into it not expecting much and I came out pleasantly surprised. If you're not expecting 3, 4 or 5 star accommodations, Tall Pines is a good value for the money.

Like the title says, each cottage is adorable, furnished two bedrooms, clean and guests are truly paid attention to by the owners Debbie and David. Great couple, very devoted to customer satisfaction - fun for families, water access with canoes, paddle boats, floats and more. The evening campfire on their private beach front is the highlight.
