“Quick Side trip”
Review of Madison Boulder

Reviewed 17 August 2017

If you are in the area this is an interesting sight to see for a quick side trip or a place to get out and stretch your legs. A HUGE boulder in the middle of the woods is not something you see everyday. It's a very short walk form the parking lot to the boulder. Be sure to stop and read the info board to learn about it. The only thing that disappointed us was that there were no picnic tables.

A short walk from the parking area will lead you to something you've never seen before and something that clearly looks out of place with its surroundings. Gives you a great perspective of where you stand with mother nature if you read the info on how it got there. If you plan on spending more than a quick visit, make sure you bring some bug spray (viscous!). It's a great stop for all ages and right on the way in/out of North Conway.

Simply said... a great free attraction... mother nature sure has done it here... kids will love the short walk thru the forest from the ample parking area... off the beaten path.. yet well worth it!!

The Madison Boulder is a great little side trip to check out. From the parking area it is approximately a 5 minute easy walk. There is a small information board present that explains how, what and when the boulder came to be. Great little piece of interest in The North Conway area!

This is an interesting side stop if you're in the area. A giant boulder moved by a glacier sitting in the middle of the woods. It's fairly impressive when you get up to it.
