We have been resort owners for 25+ years and love the resort. Two years ago we upgraded to Christmas week in the new suites. However, after staying there we were disappointed with the small bedroom and lack of light. This week we upgraded again to Whittacker, which is our favorite. However, when we met with Sales, he quoted us the total cost which we agreed. Then the sales manager came in and said the cost would be $1300 more than the original cost quoted to us. This is highly unlikely in the timeshare world as the sales manager usually can negotiate a better price. We are very experienced with timeshares as we also own Disney, Marriott, and Starwood. I am very disappointed that they would not stand behind the original price quoted to us. Also, isn't a company required to back the price given for the contract???

Room Tip: Rooms in Whittacker

We go there every year for a girls weekend at the Whitaker suites. Nice big suites to comfortably accomodzte 4 women. Close to shopping at the outlets. Some nice restaurants nearby including the flatbread company which is a Friday night ritual for us. Then to the outside hot tub in near freezing temps. We love it.

my wife and I recently wanted to get away but not too far. We came here and stayed in the suites behind the inn. The room was immaculate and the staff was super helpful. It is convenient to everything. I love going to the railway station and look at all the old trains. In July they will have Thomas the tank. I would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Stay in the carrige house

the staff is very friendly but the parking is AWFUL. I hated to leave the resort to go shopping or whatever because I didn't want to let go of my parking spot. But of course I took my chances and sure enough I had to drive around or wait to get a free spot. Way to many vehicles for the size of the parking space. Motorcycles take up a whole spot where maybe they could be designated to there own space to loosen up availability, I will never return because of this. It was sooooo frustrating!!!!!

Room Tip: ask for a room with the street view or you will end up looking at tin roofs!

Please accept my apologies if you found parking to be a challenge. We do have several buildings with ample parking for all however during the busier seasons parking may not be directly in front of a guest’s unit.

Should this be the case we recommend temporarily parking near the unit to get luggage unloaded and family settled in and then relocating the vehicle to a valid parking space for long term parking.

The front desk is always available to assist with showing our guests the various different parking lot options available to them during their stay. Which are located on all sides of the Main Inn as well as in lots near other buildings at the resort to the north, south and west.

Additional parking is also available in our lower level Whitaker House Parking lot off of River Road just a quick 2 minute walk back up to the Main Inn through the pedestrian walkway. This is where we ask guests to park larger vehicles or trailers as well as an option for guests travelling in multiple vehicles who may require additional parking spaces to meet their party’s needs.

The room was a standard efficiency which certainly met our needs.

We were able to cook breakfast and had a dishwasher to make clean up a breeze.

The proximity to the shopping and restaurants makes this a five star location.

The outdoor hot tub and the fire pit with adirondack chairs added to the ambience.

We noticed new gas BBQ's which will be well used over the summer.

The staff are friendly and informative for all your needs.

Do not hesitate to book this resort. It is well worth a visit.
