Stonehurst Manor is a one of a kind, truly magical old world inn. I went with a small group of women. We stayed in rooms 31 & 35. We were warmly greeted and before being shown to our 3rd floor rooms, we were invited to enjoy complimentary hordourves in the lounge before dinner. Our walk up to our rooms was similar to staying in old world Italy or Croatia, where I had recently been. The rooms were tastefully decorated and warm and cozy. The dining room was elegant and the food was 5 star and soooo delicious. Breakfast was equally enjoyable with impeccable service. Upon our departure, we were given 4 huge cookies as compliments of the chef and the inn. This is truly an enchanting place to stay.

Thank you! Our Library Martini Lounge is open nightly at 4:30 pm. Many nights we do also pass complimentary hor d'oeuvres from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm and as always the fire is going strong in our beautiful antique Victorian fireplace.

I felt like I was treated as a personal guest of the Bigelow family that built this mansion. The price of the room included breakfast and DINNER! I had the roast rack of lamb and my husband was torn between smoked prime rib or the Maine lobster. For breakfast I had the Oatmeal encrusted trout with eggs and my husband had smoked salmon eggs Benedict. All of these meals were cooked to perfection and were delicious. The lounge, with a fireplace, is like the dark paneled library of a guilded-age mansion. Room 225 has two double beds that face a wood-burning fireplace. We received all of this luxury for less than the cost of a Hampton Inn. Grab your sweetheart and a bottle of your favorite wine, drive 30 miles out of your way, if you have to, to stay here. You might find a reason to stay a second night as we did.

Thank you very much! What a wonderful review and we are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us--it was certainly our pleasure. When you stay with us, your rates always include both dinner and breakfast. Dinner includes the house soup or salad, any entree and then hot coffee or hot tea. Breakfast each morning is a full sit-down breakfast with anything from Eggs Benedict to stuffed french toast.

Thank you! The Stonehurst Manor was built in 1876 as a private summer home for the Bigelow Carpet family. Keeping the historical integrity of such a wonderful building is certainly a pleasure and an honor. We are always delighted to share the splendor of the Manor with our guests.
