This little cafe is on a little runway , inside and outside seating. It's fun to watch the planes and helicopters take off and land . Kids love it. great portions off food you won't be disappointed. Come early this place is packed.

'Flew' into the Airfield Cafe in Hampton NH last week for a "colleagues" breakfast with about five friends. We were easily accommodated at a round table in the center of the place and were able to take in all the sights. The (very) friendly servers were quick to get us coffee, menus and to tell us to take as much time as we needed even though the place was pretty full.
The Airfield Cafe has been where it's been for a number of years now but this was my first trip. The ambiance was casual with flying themed bric-a-brac on the walls and picture windows facing the Hampton International Airport runway which made it easy to view and keep track of the jumbo jets and private Lears landing and taking off. (think grass landing strip and Piper Cubs...) Our server was very skilled at topping up our coffees at precisely the correct time and took our orders when we were ready.
The menu said that breakfast and lunch were served all day, so, at nine in the morning, I opted for the "Barnstormer"..a 6oz burger with bacon, lettuce, onion and tomato along with a substantial side of nice crispy fries. It was just what I needed.
My companions ordered more traditional breakfast foods from steak and eggs to Belgian waffles. Not one of us was disappointed.
Although we didn't have to wait for a table, the Airfield Cafe is very well known by locals and fills up quickly but it looked like those who had to wait did so for a very short time.
From what I can see the Airfield Cafe is consistent and popular, a fun alternative to fast food with boring street traffic views. Go there and watch the air show. You won't be disappointed either.

I've been to the Airfield Cafe a few times, and have had a great experience every time. Our waitress kept our coffee's full and hot, had my corned beef hash cooked exactly how I requested and the scrambled eggs are cooked just right (not too dry, not too wet). This is your basic breakfast place that you can depend on for consistent quality in a comfortable, laid back setting.

We have enjoyed breakfast at the Airfield many times. The food is wonderful and plentiful. The coffee is always excellent, and bottomless. The wait staff works their @sses off. It is a fairly small, basic one room cafe (like it says) and it gets very popular, so in high season (summer weekends) you want to get there early or plan on long waits. Eggs, omelets, hash browns, toast, all the staples. Looks like they're expanding!

We ate here on New Year's Eve and it was packed. A couple other diners around were closed for the week, so they were getting the overflow. One room which is probably good for the most part, but not when it's busy. They have plans to expand which will be worth seeing when it's done. They did have plenty of waitstaff on hand, so no scrimping there.

We had stuffed waffles and they didn't scrimp there either. We were offered real maple syrup which we took, but then realized that would be an additional cost. That wasn't mentioned. Very tasty, and it did come from the kitchen quick enough.

We'll go back after the renovations to check it out and re-review.
