Beautiful room. Valet parking. Very quiet. A short walk away from cool food places, so you dont have to order from room service. I had a view of a parking garage.

This hotel has a fantastic location in the heart of town but is set back enough to be quiet and cozy. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and it is reasonable, given some other local and more "historical" alternatives. The staff was very personable - it was busy, as it was Easter weekend - and even though it took literally forever for the valets to move the five or so cars in front of us so we could check in, the rest of the process went smoothly. They put out cookies late at night for you to take up to your room as a special treat. The views of the harbor were superb and the beds, very plush. Highly recommend staying here!

Stayed one night 2/4/12 with girlfriends to celebrate a 40th birthday. The front desk staff were very friendly and quickly arranged adjoining rooms for us. The rooms were comfortable and clean. As many others have said, this hotel is within walking distance to the restaurants, bars, and shops downtown. We went out for dinner and drinks, and it was an easy walk back to the hotel...perfect! Always greeted by the front desk staff with a friendly hello, it was very welcoming...it's funny how such a small thing can make your stay just that much better!!

Just return from a 3 days business trip to Portsmouth and this was my first time at this hotel. The location couldn't be better! Close to all the great restaurants and waterfront in this beautiful historic town. The hotel feels new and very nicely appointed. It's well priced for its downtown location. However, be warned that the hotel doesn't have a parking lot! You are required to valet your car for a $15 a day fee. Your other choice is a nearby town multi-level parking structure that charges (75¢ an hour) $18 a day!

Breakfast was served up v-e-r-y slowly and I realized I was in trouble when I had to "ask" for a cup of coffee! I've had better breakfast for FREE at lesser hotels than a Hilton! There's a much better place for breakfast a couple of blocks away at "The Works".

Stayed here for three nights for business and found this to be a very clean hotel with a friendly staff, and a great location. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance of the hotel which is a definite plus as there is basically no other transportation option if you don't have a car.

The staff were all very attentive and helpful, from the valet to the desk attendant to the cleaning personnel who greeted me with a smile each morning. The room itself was a standard Hilton room, clean with a nice big comfortable bed and a (fairly standard at this point) flat panel TV. If you're not in the mood to go walking around after a day at work, you should go anyway because Portsmouth is really quite a lovely little town. If you're REALLY too tired though, there are a few places that will deliver even in semi-rural New Hampshire.

Overall, a friendly staff and a clean comfortable room - what more can you ask for from your hotel?
