Owner description: Just over the bridge from Atlantic City's legendary Boardwalk and Casinos, the barrier island of Brigantine boasts New Jersey's best Scottish Links golf course. True to its historic Scottish roots, the links style layout offers breathtaking bay views, as it winds through native marsh and gently rolling, nearly treeless terrain. With sea breezes, water hazards, and carefully placed concave bunkers, this 18-hole, par 72 course provides an exciting experience for golfers of all skill levels.Inside the Links at Brigantine Beach Clubhouse, you will find an American style restaurant and sports bar named The Links Bar & Grille. Enjoy made to order breakfast and lunch favorites, along with your favorite libations at our full liquor bar. The Brigantine restaurant is a favorite with both golfers and visitors.

I've been playing this course since 1970, so I especially liked the improvements that were made over the last couple decades. Now, my disappointment is extreme. Except for the greens, which were in good condition, the course is reverting to the pre-irrigation days. Fairways were dried out, rough is seeing crabgrass infiltrate, and the cart paths are like the worst potholed road you've ever driven. This place is just not being maintained. The course still gets a point for being an interesting layout, and the greens were good, but that is it. Every other aspect of a golf course is poor to terrible. Also, forget about any service.
This place could be a gem, but the City of Brigantine seems more interested in using it for other purposes. I would not advise anyone to play here. Not worth half of what it costs.

Played today and I am very disappointed. The fairways were in poor condition and there was no maintenance on the rough. Weeds all over. Large areas of fairways with water and mud. BTW it has not been raining. There is also no mosquito and fly control. After the round I realized why people are not playing this course. The course is in poor condition and it is expensive. Go somewhere else.

We frequent Atlantic City and thought golf here would be easy because it was 10 minutes away. What a mistake we left after the 12th hole it had taken 3 hours and 20 minutes on a weekday to play 12 holes. When going in we passed a foursome taking forever looking for balls and they had over two holes open in front of them. For what they charge they should have a ranger on the course.I also must say the tee boxes were awful and fairways in bad shape.

Great value. I play the course often. Nice layout, greens are in great shape. There is enough water on the course to keep it interesting, but still woman friendly. A couple of tiered greens makes for some tougher pin placements. Good fairways, a lot of the high grass has been cut down.

The course was wet and a little difficult to play in some spots. The Green head flies were biting. New carts. However, it is a nice style links course.
