Description: Chef/Owner Rakesh's recipes, which range across many regions of India, have a depth of flavor that rewards the palate. At IndeBlue all the basics of quintessential Indian fare are available, Chef/Owner Rakesh is happy to adjust the heat level to accommodate more reticent palates. On the other hand, diners who are more accustomed to the vigor of spicy-hot and are acquainted in the world of Indian cuisine will also be delighted. IndeBlue offers an array of belly-warming but complex, authentic Indian fare while also offering fresh contemporary interpretations of classical Indian flavors. Perhaps most noticeable about IndeBlue is the value. Delicious, fresh Indian cuisine served by courteous staff in our beautiful modern dining room at affordable prices. Zagat rated and voted "Best of Philly" by Philadelphia Magazine, come and taste the difference. BYO and enjoy!

When it warms up enough to dine al fresco in South Jersey, it almost immediately turns too hot to dine al fresco. But the deck on the front of IndeBlue, with five large tables, each with a large umbrella, also has it's own built-in shade by early evening (the building itself blocks the sun as it sets in the west).

The food is terrific, the service is always good, and the setting is perfect. If you like Indian cuisine, and you like al fresco dining, you'll love IndeBlue.

If you go here and even remotely like spinach (heck, even if you don't), you need to order the crispy spinach chaat. It is really, really good.....melts in your mouth, perfectly spiced, yum!

We also ordered the paneer saag and dal makhani (yes, we're vegetarians), and while they weren't as out-of-this-world good as the chaat, they were very well prepared and we enjoyed the whole meal. It's worth mentioning that the portions here are smaller than in many Indian restaurants, so the containers I brought for leftovers went unused.

We brought our own bottle of wine (I think Collingswood is a dry town), and I don't think they charged a fee for opening it, which is unusual in our experience.

The service was excellent, and the decor was very nice, too. Definitely a place you could go on a date or to celebrate a special occasion.

Went with a girlfriend who had never eaten Indian food and she was delighted!!!!! What helped was the waitress Lori. She took her time with recommendations and explanations of our selections. I have eaten here a few times and haven't yet been disappointed. This restaurant has a wonderful and intimate atmosphere and not to be missed

If you don't like Indian food, this place will not make you a fan. HOWEVER, if you kinda like it and also like to try some new things, this is the place to go if you are in Philly. It goes without saying that the service and drinks were top notch. But the plates; HOLY COW (opps, maybe I shouldn't have said that, sorry). In all the plates we had there were subtle twists in flavor and presentation, all very Indian to me (who is not Indian). Order the Naan basket for a real treat and especially get the crispy spinach. This spectacular spinach app is way beyond my ability to describe, other than I never had anything like it - AND I DON'T LIKE SPINACH. Ya know, just do it.
