Old style Irish pub with typical pub type dinners. Super friendly and patient. The restaurant was busy by their standards but we only had to wait 5 minutes for our table. Busy by their standards, I mean for example, I had to wait for drinks because there was no glasses left and I had to wait for the dishwasher. Things could have gone quicker if they streamlined their process a little more. Just my observation.
Atmosphere dark, service staff super nice and very family orientated and the food is just ok. Well mine anyway.
I had: steak fries, beer battered fried pineapple & Shepard's pie. Steak fries were good but I could taste the oil, pineapple rings I always like but the batter was falling off that I was eating ring and batter separately. The Shepard's pie was presented nicely but a little too soupy for me and lacked flavor. I had to throw salt, pepper and ketchup on it. It was ok. FYI, I am against using salt.
Bottom line on the pie, is I have had a lot and for the most part all are different. I have had better and I have had worse. You can't please everyone.
All in all it was a good evening, everyone was relaxed and I still left happy though there is room for improvement.
