Just back after a long trip to the East Coast and remained with the Hilton brand for all the stays. The start of the trip was with Home2 Suites in Hasbrouck Heights with a 2 night stay.
The hotel is new, Mr. Nicolas the front office staff was awesome and the King Suite was spacious. We appreciate the fact, the hotel permitted us an early check-in which was a big relief after a 17 hours flight. The room was squeaky clean and so was the restroom. Water pressure was low. The breakfast was bare minimal with frozen omelettes and scrambled eggs. Plenty of coffee (Robust, Regular, Fresh grind, Decaf etc) but by evening, no one ensures to keep the coffee hot nor top up the hot water.
Being first visit to the US, and to save some money on NY stay, I had booked this property in NJ with the hope to take a public transport. But access to public transport is tough and sadly the property is little interested to offer any shuttles. Parking is free and good for those with cars.
Summary: Stay here if you have something in NJ. If NYC is the target, forget it. The hospitality extended by the staff is lackluster and will I stay here next time? No way!!More
