This is our second trip to butterfly campground and i have to say these are the Hardest working campground owners they keep beautiful grounds, pool, relaxing, quiet nights, great camp sites, great campers very friendly ,we went for barbecue weekend that's the best bbq sauce ever ! we will be going back again! And as for the office staff who remembered my kids that's the best costumer service you can ask for in a place!

This is a real, old fashioned, family campground! Roomy sites separated by trees, respectful quiet hours, nature, proximity to a wildlife refuge as well as being close to area beaches and Great Adventure. The campground has a beautiful, large, very clean pool, horseshoes, a volleyball court, mini golf, and a playground. There's a nature trail and fishing.

For us, as a couple, it was nice to simply enjoy the nature walk and the pool in addition to hanging out by our campfire.

The staff were very friendly and answered any questions. The restrooms are kept clean; the showers are a little funky in that there is a single button providing satisfactorily warm water but for a short period of time only, like 45 seconds! You have to keep hitting the button to keep the water flowing. It makes sense from a water conservation perspective but it can be a little annoying while you're in the shower.

Overall, though, this minor detail can be easily overlooked because the rest is so positive. We definitely will be going back.

Room Tip: Sites are available with full hook up, water and electric, and tent sites.

This was our 3rd time visiting. Stayed in the deluxe cabin next to our friends in the other cabin. In my eyes, deluxe should not include large carpenter ants all over the toilet seat. My daughter freaked out on the first day, but it was ridiculous to deal with for 3 days. They sprayed but that just pushed them to the shelving area all over my medicine, which was thankfully sealed in a ziploc bag. Someone complained that we were making noise, give me a break with 4 kids they make noise. The place is filled with old folks and boring adults who hide in their RVs and campers. We are New Yorkers who love to sit outside and have fun on a summers evening. Boo them! Boring site, hardly anyone the pool, old playground with chipped paint, old game room, old mini golf. Nothing for kids to do. Thankfully our last day it rained and we checked out early. Will never again go there, unless things improve

This was our first time going and will definitely go again! We went with our friends recently and our sites were right next to each other. The kids were busy all weekend. It was their mascot's birthday and everyone who signed up got to decorate their own FREE cupcake! Talk about generosity. The employees were very polite and answered all of our question. Definitely booking during the week with the discounts. If you are looking for a campgrounds with your kids, THIS IS IT !!

This place is great! we went for a walk in the woods in like the middle of the night with a big group and omg I can not explain how fun/funny it was! we also caught huge frogs and fish and a lot of chipmunks running around just one thing...don't go early season unless you like ticks!
