This memorial is very simply yet beautifully done. When you stand in the middle and look up, all you see is the sky. Then turn east and look at where the original towers stood. It doesn't need much more than that.

This is a clever and interesting memorial as it shows you where the twin towers were in the NY skyline. I think it is also an important reminder that people outside of NYC lost loved ones during this horrible act of terror.

Simple & to the point. Tragic day for America & the world. Changes the life for everyone.
A great place for photo opportunity of the NYC skyline

This is a place that commands silence and reflection, beautifully executed with a view on the WTC and Manhattan. I’ve been to many war memorials in Europe and this monument tragically reminds me about all of them, although the victims here were not soldiers, just ordinary people like you and me.

My initial response was a low wind knocking WOW!
Set against the NYC skyline is the Empty Sky Memorial -
I recommend seeing this along with the Teardrop Memorial -
We visited in December 2017 and the morning was crisp -
One of The beams which once supported the twin tower greeted us as we walked towards the memorial -
Walking down the walls depicting a section of the twin towers which once stood tall over downtown NYC - it took a moment to realized the gravity of the artists creativity -
Take a moment to reflect
Take a moment to pay your respects
Take a moment to create your own memorable moment
Visiting this memorial will leave you in awe of how poignantly a tragedy has been beautifully remembered -
