Had a wonderful meal last night with friends at Broadmoor.
Very comfortable room, excellent service, byob (de requer for us), and not noisy, as we’d have expected from previous posts.
Started with beet salad, chicken pate, a Caesar salad and grilled octopus. All portions were very generous and the dishes quite tasty.
3 entrees were spaghetti and meatballs, pasta pouches with pear and Telegio cheese (awesome) and a beautiful Veal chip. My wife had a salad as she wasn’t very hungry.
Dessert of a rich Pot de Creme and a flaky delicious apple tart.
Thrilled to have Alex back on the scene with his long time friend Donna running the front. Looking forward to many wonderful return meals.

The Broadmoor has a daily scallop special on their menu. The night we were there it was scallops with green pasta mixed in just for color with a dollop of large orange caviar. Three of us ordered it and loved it. I would go back to this restaurant just for this dish. The vibe was good ,the staff professional but casual and friendly.Other reviews mentioned the noise.Well it is new and they are working that out.It did not bother me at all.It made it festive and lively after being stuck in so much this cold winter. Their desserts were great also. One thing...my husband was not happy with his pasta dish.Well ..they had so many interesting things to order on the menu and he decides on the spaghetti and meat balls! No one will make them as good as him or his father. He said the sauce was runny. I teased him about ordering the kiddie platter. Having said that...there is no kiddie platter..this is an adult get a way.

Everything was tasty, unique and memorable. We had the Italian Salad, the Chopped salad, the shrimp and pasta, the salmon special with lentils( the mustard sauce gave it a nice zing), and the scallop w/pasta and sun dried tomato sauce. We all enjoyed our selections.

However the noise level was deafening. We had to shout and even then it was hard to have any conversation. The hostess asked a particularly raucous group to quiet down, which they ignored. She also came to our table twice to apologize for the acoustics and others poor behavior. Once outside the quiet was deafening—what a contrast.

Although the space is beautiful and the food superb we will probably dine in a restaurant more conducive to being able to have a conversation.

Newly remodeled but what were they thinking? Hard surfaces everywhere. We went for dinner with friends and were unable to carry on a pleasant dinner-time conversation. Not only was it noisy but there was nowhere to hang our coats. The hostess suggested we drape them over the backs of our chairs. Apparently not much thought went into making it comfortable for the customer.

The food was excellent and the service was good. However the prices are high, even for Lambertville's reputation for great restaurants in fine dining.

There are more options in Lambertville and we won't be going back here anytime soon due to the noise factor

Not your typical New Hope/Lambertville dining experience. Walking in, I felt like I had been transported. Clean, industrial, upscale funk. Although not yet full, there was a buzz of excitement. The menu is simple, yet elegant, featuring an array of pasta dishes. The shrimp a diablo was cooked perfectly. The scallop special in creamy peppercorn sauce was subtle, yet complex. Great service. Friendly old-fashioned atmosphere in a modern setting.
