A homey atmosphere for both lunch and breakfast.Portions are huge. Can be difficult to get a table on Sunday. Especially in summer season.

Ray's has two locations: go for breakfast in nearby Sea Girt, or dinner at the Spring Lake flagship. Right on the shopping street of 3rd Avenue, near a liquor store if you want to get wine for dinner. As the other reviewers indicate, you can expect large portions and solid, tasty fare. I've never had a bad experience at Ray's.

Was looking for a different lunch place after walking on the boardwalk in Spring Lake. Took a drive a couple of miles south and found Ray's in downtown Sea Girt.

Cash only. Fast service, friendly staff. Basic menu, but food was good. Tried the cheesesteak, which was a bit different. Steak was not chopped, and it was served on a kaiser roll with home fried potatoes. Different but tasty. My wife had a turkey club, which was fine.

Casual, not a lot of atmosphere. I believe there was an outside table, but nobody was dining outside, so it's not really an al fresco kind of place.

Solid food. Would go again, but would not go out of my way to revisit. If in the area, I would stop in for breakfast or lunch. Prices were average to a tad high for lunch.

Eat like a local at Ray's. This place has been here for 20 years & has a devoted clientele. The portions are large. I thought the lunch prices were fair but the dinner prices seemed "high" for the area. Food was very good. Server was friendly but service was slow and there was only one other party in the restaurant.
