Went here for their weekend dimsum and this is where I'm conflicted. For NJ and dimsum on hot carts, this place is fine. The servers gave you all the food names in English and tried to be hospitable. That is the positive.

On the flip side, nothing is truly great on the dimsum menu and being so close to NYC, you can almost make the case that the ride into the city is worth it. Their prices are also a tad higher than Chinatown and the taste/quality is lower.

So, I will give them 4 stars because when you are craving dimsum and don't feel like going into the city, this is a perfectly acceptable option in NJ. But you won't leave here dreaming about their pork buns or steamed dumplings.

We stopped on a rainy afternoon to have a truly worthwhile trip to China at this outstanding Asian restaurant!! The Sesame Chicken was served with a ring of delectable broccoli bites! Vegetable rice and Wonton soup is the right blend of choice for savoring the meal! Egg Foo Young came back home cause you just needed to taste it again!! Do stop at this worthwhile Asian cuisine!! Ample Parking!! Silk Screen Paintings! Restroom equipped!! Enjoy the trip!!

We went here tonight with my brother and his wife. The staff appeared to have problems with English, and pressed for food to be ordered quickly which was unpleasant. The food was good. The waiter who started serving us and came with the bill. He was told to keep change and can back with change as if there was issue. Rather than cause hassle we gave him another $5.00 which he accepted. Found this unacceptable.

For those visiting the Secaucus area, I think you will like China Chef if you like the more traditional Chinese style restaurant. My husband and I visit it quite frequently, and find the lunch specials very good and well-priced, and the weekend Dim Sum (a selection of small plates of various kinds of appetizer-type dishes) to be a nice change.

I like the crispy beef and the chicken with peanuts. They also offer family-style dining, with a nice ice cream selection for desert.

They serve you the fried noodles with dipping sauce while you wait.

Note: there is a bar there as well if you are interested in ordering a beer or a cocktail.
