After a long day of travel due to traffic, we asked the hotel for a dinner recommendation; La Tavola Cucina was one of two. Based on Trip Advisor, we choose this one. We were not disappointed. Actual menu differed slightly from online menu, but that was not a major issue. One started with the homemade crab soup, described as wonderful. Both had salads, one a small house and the other the tomato, basil and mozzarella. The balsamic dressings were excellent. Dinner choices were boneless short ribs with a mushroom risotto and shrimp, cherry tomatoes with homemade pappardelle pasta. Both dishes were flavorful and nicely presented. Portions are generous, and each had some dinner to take home. We had the coconut sorbet for dessert, and were pleased to find flecks of toasted coconut. Our waitress, Yvonne, was excellent - attentive and very competent without being obnoxious. Her dinner recommendations were on target. We would definitely return should we find ourselves in this area for dinner again.

La Tavola Cucina never disappoints! We were there for muscle mania and the muscle dishes were fabulous. We also had a beef with risotto that was a perfect balance and blend of flavors and textures. We have never had anything but excellent food at La Tavola. If you're in the area, stop by and see for yourself. If you're not in the area, take the drive. You will not be disappointed. PS The bread and hummus that comes with every meal deserve a review all in their own!

I visited this place based on trip advisor comments... and I was pleasantly surprised, because the place is much better than what I was expecting... home made pasta, served with pride, passion and friendly attitude. Dishes are huge... so be careful with the number of courtesy breads you try... no matter how good is the chickpea hummus they offer with the bread... believe me... you will love the pasta that will come after that, and you will need enough appetite to finish it !!!

We have eaten here a number of times and have always had delicious food. The chef uses great quality ingredients and his wife has always given us great wines to go along with our meal. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. We've been here for Valentine's and their Tuesday Specials. Our favorite dessert here is the limoncello. The last time we had a meal here was this past Saturday at 5:00. I'm mentioning the time since this wasn't a reservation made with advanced notice. We decided to not cook the last minute. It's a good idea to call and make reservations as this place gets busy. Our son had the penne vodka with chicken, while my husband had the bolognese and I had the braised beef. I was given a steak knife which I didn't really need to use as the beef was very tender. The other two dishes were also consumed with gusto. For dessert, we shared the coconut sorbet and peanut butter truffles.
We were there once when they had live music. Our plan is to go there when they have jazz which I think happens on Thursdays.
We'll be back!

We met our daughter and granddaughter at this restaurant and were welcomed like we were family. The rice ball appetizer was very tasty and the chicken parmigiana was excellent (and large!). Pasta was prepared al dente by a chef who knows how to cook like in Italy. We also enjoyed the fact that they had a combo playing live music although some of the karaoke singers were a bit amateurish. However one fella played an amazingly good trumpet solo.
All in all, a very pleasant evening.
