“Would return for soup dumplings ”

Thoroughly enjoyed the soup dumplings, spicy chicken dumplings and sesame beef sandwich. The place is small and can get cramped. Went there twice, both times on weekends, and there was a long wait to get a table.
Do try it out when you’re in the area.

A week or so ago I wrote that I was looking for a "real" Chinese restaurant. Well, I found it at Shanghai Bun! The menu is very interesting and includes dishes you don't see on your local Chinese restaurant.
We had: pork soup dumplings, hot sour soup, spicy basil chicken with bones, broccoli/string beans/bean sticks in garlic sauce, Mongolian lamb
The dumpling filling was good but wrapper too bready. Hot Sour soup wonderful; they brought a big bowl and smaller bowls for us to serve into. Loved the spicy basil chicken! My husband especially loved the veggies, turns out bean stick is some kind of tofu which was deep fried in this dish. Mongolian lamb fine but nothing really special. Service very good.
Things to note: tables were set with chopsticks and Chinese soup spoons ... no silver ware. If you want tea, you must order it separately. You won't see the fried noodles on the table to begin, or fortune cookies to end. (This is what we experienced in China when we were there.)
They are closed Tuesday. We will definitely go back!

Nothing fancy, but the best Chinese food - must go for the soup dumplings, hot and sour soup (for 2, with left over), Mongolian beef, pork with garlic sauce - everything on the menu is cooked to perfection.

Went to check out this place after friends recommended it and we were pleasantly surprised. Above all else the service is very good for the 2 times we have already been. They have an extensive menu of Chinese food. They have a lunch/dinner menu and its priced accordingly. They don't have a small/large choice when one does take out, but the servings are adequate and plentiful. They are closed on Tuesdays and take a short break during the week between 3:00-5:00. Parking can be tricky as this place is located at the end of a strip mall and parking is not plentiful, especially when the tutoring business is open. There are other take out places in the area and that's what makes parking a challenge, so bring your patience. The restaurant isn't very big so plan accordingly for I am not sure if they take reservations.

Like most Chinese restaurants around the area, the food is just so so. Not bad, but nothing to get excited about.
