We picked up some clams for a bake and the other food looked very fresh. The store is located right off the dock, so the food comes in fresh from the sea.

I go to Dock Street Seafood for fresh seafood, right off the boat and find prompt attention being given to the stock, being unloaded off the boats by dock workers, boxing and icing the fish for distribution to seafood outlets. Their market is clean and the fish and other foods are kept chilled and are the freshest of fresh. Their prices are competitive as well. You cannot go wrong with buying fresh from Dock Street Seafood.

Very nice selection of whole fish is available here. More so than is even available at the "Lobster House", and at competitive prices as well. So, if you like whole fish at your favorite restaurant. Save yourself a little money and try grilling some at home. I often do whole fish on my charcoal grill on foil. There is no need to even turn the fish if you don't put it directly over the coals and close the lid.

During the summer, ( the only time it's open) this is our preferred purveyor of fish and other sea life. Most of their fish is straight off the boats, and I like that I can tell them exactly how I want it cleaned, just like the good old days. They usually have a supply of black bass, my favorite fish, but they carry many others. They also stock shrimp, lobster, clams, oysters, mussels, and blue claw crabs, all based on availability. If you like your fish skin on, as I do, just tell them.

If you can't get to the Lobster House Fish Market - try this place. It's convenient and the fish is always fresh.
