“Fabulous villa”
Reviewed 10 February 2012

We have stayed at Villa Sakti twice, with the most recent visit in January 2012. The villa is perfect for a few families or a small group. The layout, pool, furnishings, gardens, food and service are all excellent. The staff are professional and also kind and friendly and they can feel like family if that's what you want. Both times we have been to celebrate birthday occasions and have enjoyed beautifully prepared dinners with the staff going out of their way to make it special. We love the location even though it is away from the beach and the main Seminyak shopping area. A short walk to Jalan Pettinget and you have some of our favourite places..The Gourmet Cafe, Amo Day Spa, Biku and other popular spots like Potato Head and Sarong restaurant. Highly recommended.

Brought my entire family here that was traveling from the U.S. first of all, USD$1000 per night for the quality and service is ridiculous. Had constant construction and banging going on as we had a 9 month old baby, gave us no warning that this would be the case. Had a random stranger in the villa as we went out and came back one night and they gave us no explanation after I complained about it.

Would never come back here as there are so many other great villas in the area, and the service is a lot better.

I have been to Bali many times but this was my first stay in a villa. It was a great option for the group of us (4 friends) as we each had our own suite and plenty of privacy when required. This villa is beautifully appointed - enough to make you feel like you are in Bali. So many new villas look so modern and cold. Sakti has beautiful furnishings and is warm and welcoming. The staff were wonderful and looked after the gluten free dietary requirements of two us very well. I liked the location - out of the heart of Seminyak which is too busy for me now. The laneway was not popular with the taxi drivers though. I would love to come back here with my family but it really does not suit small children given the access to the pool and the way the rooms are all quite separate and distanced from each other.

Villa Sakti's owners clearly put a lot of thought and time into the decor of the villa and the quality of service provided. There were four rooms that could easily sleep 8 and the layout ensured that one could enjoy privacy and the company of others as one wanted. We were told that there was construction going on but we hardly noticed and the two days we spent there slipped peacefully by.

Service from the team of 7 was attentive but never obtrusive. The Manager was especially helpful and knowledgeable about the restaurants in the area and was quick to help with making reservations. However, the most impressive was the quality of the meals served at the villa itself. With a chef who formerly cooked for Warisan on staff and a good selection of wine available, it was a pleasure to sit down for meals at the villa. The quality of the meals was a definite highlight, with excellent choices of fresh juices, quality bread and pastries (and the eggs benedict were the best I've had) and good espressos! It was actually hard to leave the villa for meals outside!

The villa is within walking distance from some of the most popular restaurants in Seminyak such as La Lucciola and the newly-opened Potato Head Beach Club. Other restaurants, boutiques and massage places catering to all tastes and pockets are all easily accessible either on foot or a 5 - 10 minute cab ride. Cabs are easily available and the Manager at the villa can easily help arrange for taxis any time you don't wish to stroll out yourself to get cabs that are usually standing by outside the compound.

The villa sakti is perfect for small groups who wish to work and relax and destress undisturbed in quiet, elegant surroundings or close friends vacationing together.

Definitely highly recommended!

Villa Sakti was a wonderful and relaxing stay. The rooms and beds are excellent, the staff super friendly, food great, pool is amazing. It is more of a relaxing place as it's in quieter more upmarket Seminyak, we stayed here to relax before heading to Kuta for the busy and shopping time. There are nice restaurants and shops near by, most a short taxi ride away. The staff are happy to order food in and suggest restaurants. Be careful at the local money changers as we did have a bad experience... The personal chefs will also cook lunches and dinners to order, we had a great seafood dinner. I think for the fantastic personalised service, reasonably generous tips are probably expected. A gorgeous place to unwind and relax by the private pool.
