We arrived in Amed from the Gilis and the guys from puri tulamben dive resort (also Bali reef divers) were right there waiting for us. They took us to this very cosy hotel. Nice and clean rooms, very relaxing atmosphere and super friendly people.

The liberty wreck and dive school are at walking distance from the hotel and in between there's also some nice restaurants.

We did a night dive and a day dive on the wreck and it's a definite must see. Very impressive.

Best place to stay if you're diving the wreck!

The lobby is bare and uninviting. The stairs around the resort are built on a strange rise to tread size, so it is difficult to get about. There are no safes in the rooms, so security for your money/valuables, while you are out diving or away from the room is nonexistent. The resort is small only 8 rooms, the property is small, no space for children. Too many better choices in the area to pick this hotel for your holiday.

Room Tip: Better choices in the area with ocean front view and secure rooms.

This small resort was just perfect. Though a small place, the room aircond was large, clean and tastefully designed. Good size bathroom with strong shower. The swimming pool clean and very private. They had a good Spa which I took advantage of everyday I was there. My daughter enjoyed the dive trips planned by the resort. We communicated via email with Mr Ivo who met all our requirements from pick up, accommodation and diving. The room came with breakfast which was adequate. The restaurant had a very good view of the volcanic mountain on one side and d sea on the otherside. There are good eating places within walking distance via good roadside walking pavements. We were lucky to witness the resorts colourful anniversary celebration complete with cultural music. We enjoyed our stay and when we come back the next time we will prefer to stay in this area instead of the city area.

Room Tip: Rooms nearest to the Spa area is convenient and quiet.

If you look at any place in Tulamben if it is on the main street (most of them are) then you will get some of the sounds of Asia. Rooms were large, pool was very quite. The dive shop associated with the resort was in the middle of town and we found the dive guide to be excellent and their dive gear was in very good condition. The dive guide was a actually one of the best aspects of the trip, he'd being guiding for 7 years and underwater he knew exactly where to go and he went at a really relaxed pace meaning we got maximum bottom time. The sister resort is in Amed and we looked at it when we went for a dive there and it is on much bigger grounds and would be a much nicer place to stay. Massages were expensive 150k versus 100k (poolside) at Liberty but the best was at Matahari with a really nice massages for 90k. Liberty Wreck divers or some of the rooms at Matahari would be our pick for quite accommodation.

our intention is to dive so we didnt expect much on the hotel. but surprisingly the hotel was very nice , very clean , quiet , just perfect. And the manager , mr Ivo , was very helpful since the beginning of the reservation , until the diving part. As im not an open water diver , i need to do again the pool session , and he guide me very detail , clearly , patiently. When we will dive again , we surely will stay there again
