Family run business, the cottages have great views, you can cook and grill, fish, or scuba dive. The cottages are well made, clean, and the owners are friendly. It is right on the St. Lawrence river. There is a grocery store, a small town, and lots of nature on the river.

This is our second trip to Angel Rock, we stayed a while back when it was Green Cedars. We booked a cottage that we knew had not been renovated yet, right along the water, #22. The cottage was cute, clean, bathroom was nice and plenty of room, it was a little odd the wall doesn't go up to the ceiling between two of the bedrooms but does go up at least 8 feet or so and I am sure this will be fixed when renovating. My only suggestions would be back porch lights, very dark and easy to fall on the deck or side steps at night; also while the tree is very pretty it is right against the deck and drops acorns all the time. It should be taken down or cut back so it doesn't cover the deck. We didn't use the deck much at all due to this, so pick one with out the tree. The staff is friendly and we plan on going back there to stay again next year and hope the fishing is better! If you are looking for a true cottage feel & not a hotel, you should enjoy your visit here.

Room Tip: They have renovated ones that are fixed up very nice, but the older cottages worked well for us, we loved the view and privacy.

Thank you for taking the time to write this informative review. Your description is spot on. We will take a look at adding deck lights and trimming the tree, while #22 awaits it's turn for a full remodel... Glad to hear you plan to return next year. Thank you!

We spent three nights at these lovely little "back to the good old days" cottage ( trailer) park. We had a cute two bedroom with large eat in kitchen area. Very clean and well equipped. All bedding dishes etc were simple and updated. We spent most of our days away but evenings were spent around the campfire overlooking the river watching the beautiful sunsets, along with the resident heron.
The pool is over at the higher end property , two minute walk, and was clean and warm. All amenities were well kept. The staff was very friendly and efficient and all emails booking the property were promptly responded to. It was perfect for the type of getaway we were there for.
We were surprised to see that Cape Vincent was as quiet as it was and found it lacking and overpriced. Clayton was the complete opposite, lots of boutiques and fabulous restaurants with patios on the river and live music. Playhouse was packed with patrons there to see "The Beatles" show.

What a DUMP. This is a trailer park with the dirtiest "cottage" I have ever seen for rent. The floors had not been cleaned, the linens were never changed on the beds - food, hair, stains in the blankets and sheets...our "campfire" was the rim of a truck tire. I am NOT kidding. The cottages (trailers) were so close you could hear whole conversations next door. Our view of the water was full of weeds, and the boat launch was tilted sideways. We complained and at first she offered to give 1/2 our money back, but then when my family insisted a full refund, her reply was, "okay I'll give you your money back but you you need to get out NOW". I've never been so happy to not vacation somewhere a day in my life.

We are sorry that your stay was less than perfect. We would like to let you know that Green Cedars Cottages is now under new management for 2014. All operations and reservations are now being handled by Angel Rock Waterfront Cottages & Vacation Homes, right next door. There are many improvements to come and we hope that you are willing to give us another chance in the future.

Just got back from a long weekend in cottage #5. I must say I was very impressed. The owners are very kind and helpful! It's obvious they take pride and put alot of heart into Green Cedars. The grounds were kept very well, always saw the handyman walking around doing something. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had a nice "home" feeling to it. Three decent size bedrooms, living room/kitchen/dining area, and nice size bathroom, deck that overlooked the water which was a beautiful view. Fishing off boat docks, boats to rent. Provided all bedding and linens, dish towels, dish soap, hand soap, didn't have to bring anything but food and drinks! Fire pit at every cottage which made for a nice relaxing evening. Everyone in the area was very nice and friendly. Close to town and stores. Wifi and cable tv, gas stove and anything else you would need for cooking, as well as a microwave and coffee maker. Cottage even has a/c that blasted VERY cold air! I cannot say enough about the hospitality. This place is a true gem. Will definitely be staying there again next year!
