We were in Cooperstown for the first time for a family wedding. We picked the Landmark Inn because of the location and the appearance of the Inn. We were not disappointed. You can walk to town, including the Hall of Fame. Our room, St. Elsewhere #10, was charming, had a private entrance and a semi private deck. 3very morning we we treated to xlnt breakfasts. The staff was friendly, especially the owner/operators Keith and John.
We highly recommend the Landmark Inn.

The Landmark Inn is a lovely, gracious home offering 8 comfortable rooms in the main house with high ceilings run by conscientious, accommodating owners. All was well including the yummy breakfast BUT beware: they also have a small add-on building in the back of the house with 3 small rooms with low ceilings and NO fresh air which they call, euphemistically, Petite Provence rooms. Insist upon one of the 8 rooms in the main house or go somewhere else.

Room tip: MUST be one of the 8 rooms in the main house

Hi David - We are happy you enjoyed your complimentary upgrade to a second floor room and appreciate the positive feedback regarding our 165 year old mansion, the staff/owners and the delicious breakfast. Many of our guests appreciate the characteristics of one of the Petite Provence rooms. They enjoy the large sliding doors that lead you to a semi-private sitting porch with designated Adirondack chairs overlooking an acre of private lawn. We understand that some guest may prefer a larger room and we have options that could fit those standards. For example, the third room (which you mentioned) called Henry’s Hideaway is actually one of our larger rooms. It has plenty of space for a king size bed, bedside tables, 2 large wicker reading chairs and a spacious bathroom with a walk-in “dream shower” that can fit 2 people. Each of our rooms have their own characteristics, it just depends on what your preference is. We encourage our guests to take a look at our website for room details or feel free to call us with any questions. Again, appreciate your feedback and would love to have you come back to visit us again.

Excellent location - easy walk to the main street restaurants and Hall of Fame.
Beautiful and Clean - everything was meticulous.
Amazing staff - friendly, helpful, and caring.
DELICIOUS food - the breakfast was amazing as was the picnic lunch we added on.

Room tip: We loved the Chance Suite with its private porch to sit out on.

I just returned from a 3 day stay at this charming bed and breakfast. Excellent location - walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shops and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Also, a short drive to the Fenimore Art Museum, The Farmer's Museum, Otsego Lake and more. You are surrounded by 19th century art, literature, and architecture. The owners and staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were beyond beautiful and comfortable. Waking up to freshly brewed coffee and enjoying a gourmet breakfast served in the dining room was a highlight of my day. I can't say enough. I will be back!!

Just spent a 3-day weekend at this elegant, charming Inn. The owners and their attentive staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The lovely creek running along the back of the property added to the serenity of this beautiful place. Lots to do in town (8 minute walk), restaurants, shops and, of course, the Baseball Hall of Fame. The Fenimore Art Museum and Farmers Museum are a short drive and so enjoyable to visit! The Landmark Inn has a large backyard and lovely porch for just relaxing! We will be going back!
