One of the nice things about this restaurant is that it's slightly off the beaten path, but not by much. Somehow it's managed to escape the attention of visitors to the North Fork.

The restaurant is decorated in the style that you might find in the French countryside. It's warm, rustic and charming. That style may not suit everyone, but it makes for a very pleasant dining experience.

While the menu is not extensive, there's something for everyone, and each dish is excellently prepared. On a recent visit, we enjoyed the cod in a light cream mushroom sauce, rack of lamb, salmon, and the tagliatelle with shrimp. Each dish was a hit.

For dessert, try the crepes, not found on many menus these days. Wonderful and a generous portion.

I can't fathom why this place is not full - first off very good food and reasonably priced. I love the eggs benedict at brunch - dinners are great, pasta with shrimp (homemade pasta) is out of this world, pot roast is delicious and comforting on a cold night, lamb is brilliant. Great happy hour and happy hour apps for five bucks. Don't expect 5 star dining but great food at a reasonable price.

Probably the best kept secret on the North Fork! Food is amazing. Have probably tried most things on the menu from the Quail Eggs to the Duck to their Pot Roast. Food is amazing! Service is friendly and attentive! Even the bread is warm and yummy. Save room for the crepes for dessert, you won't be disappointed!

We stopped by Red Rooster while visiting vineyards in the area. It's fairly small, but very clean and nicely decorated. You feel like you are visiting friends and having lunch at their house.

The food was great, the staff very attentive. We won't hesitate to come back!
