Dined during restaurant week. Dinner was good but not great and the serving for the salmon entree was postage stamp sized. Other entrees sufficient. Food was good but not over the top like other reviews. Service was excellent. Main room is what one might expect from an old inn...cozy colonial. The regular menu seemed overpriced even for the Hamptons.

good food. Limited menu. Homey feeling. Sign for valet but no one came to get the car! Friendly. Food tasted very fresh and they don't mind if you share dishes> Lovely presentation

We booked a table for two in the Tavern, middle of the week, off season and had a first class dining experience. Great attentive and knowledgeable service, delicious and inventive cuisine at a reasonable price. Definitely will dine here again and again!

With an over two hundred year reference, this fine eatery delivers delicious food, gracious service and a charming environment. The antiques and the garb of service people recall the past. But there is nothing dowdy in giving today's gourmand what she or he wants. The beet salad, Scottish salmon and date cake were tops.

Never had a bad meal in the main dining room. The menu which incorporates locally sourced seasonal ingredients is always fresh and innovative without being too out there. For a more casual setting the tavern downstairs has great ambience, pity that the menu is a bit limited, although I think one can order from the upstairs menu should you wish to.
