FIRST I owe a big gay 'Ol Thank You to the 'hapless Canadians' who reviewed Dune Point in August 2016. You saved us and our straight friends from going to some heteronormative boring and stifled dump. Instead Dune Point 'holds space' as a cozy beach Inn which celebrates the diversity of their clientele. Our one bedroom apartment style room (#17) was just right. Private deck was perfect for brunch with friends. Kitchen stocked with pots and pans - bring all your cooking needs like oil, salt and pepper, etc.

Bathroom had a big standing shower. It was clean.

Bedroom with AC unit was nicely sized but the bed was uncomfortable. My back was not happy.

The couch/futon in the living room worked for our friends who stayed the night. Great space for entertaining.

Walk right onto the beach, chairs and umbrellas available for guests to use.

Employees were super helpful.

We had a blast and will return.

DON'T FORGET THE BUG SPRAY!

For the second time, friends invited me to share the two-bedroom apartment with kitchen and deck, which faces the ocean. Fabulous view and a short path thru the dunes to the beach. Folding beach chairs and umbrellas available. Daily linen service. Wifi a bit spotty, but if relaxation is your goal that's no problem. Dog friendly - so long as they don't get spooked by the deer who visit at dusk. I do hope I'm invited again - or I might have to go on my own next time!

This place is really well located and clean. It would be wonderful if you could relax in the room and enjoy the fresh air and breeze at night but the windows don't open and if you leave the door open there is no slider/screen so all the bugs (and there are plenty) get in. A shame, really. I know that screens are hard to maintain but it was silly to have to run the noisy a/c on a beautiful evening when a breeze is available but for the missing screens. This was our second stay, different room, same problem.

Room Tip: there are two buildings, one oceanfront and one behind.

Our third time staying at Dune Point and it just keeps getting better and better. This go round we stayed in a newer 1 bedroom (room 17) with our most awesome rescue dog, as this room accommodated a large private deck for him to roam around in. Miss our usual oceanfront views, but the room itself was so fresh, new, and cozy, and allowed for our pup to enjoy every moment with us. Cannot wait for next years visit!

We stayed for week in a studio with private deck. Having been burned in the past, we were pleasantly surprised when the room was even nicer than the photos..#15 was clean, modern, handsome and perfectly appointed. The kitchenette and bathroom was showroom new.. private deck was a win.. 2 minute walk to beach or restaurants.. we loved our stay and will be back soon.
