Stayed here with my boyfriend for the holiday and wound up extending for a second night. Everything about this place was incredible from the start, we were greeted by the general manager JP and given a tour of the house upon arrival, with a rundown of the history of the property and neighboring properties. He never hesitated to provide us anything that we needed to ensure that our stay was perfect, and quite frankly was the reason that we chose to stay an additional night. He is most definitely an asset to this property, as the customer service he provided was comparable to that of a Four Seasons.
Our room, the Hickok was extraordinary, equipped with a fireplace that kept the room at a very comfortable temperature. The bed was super comfortable and provided an incredible nights sleep. We ate at the restaurant the second night there, and the service was impeccable. Our waitress, Shannon, was very friendly and is awesome at what she does. There was never a moment that our glasses were empty. And the food was top quality. The chef in the kitchen knows how to please a crowd. The drinks were also great, having the Manhattan and Old Fashioned here are a must.
All in all, this place is a must if visiting the Hudson Valley, even if only popping into the restaurant for dinner service. All in all, this place is a must if visiting the Hudson Valley, even if only popping into the restaurant for dinner service. It is centrally located roughly 30 minutes from Beacon Train Station (where there are Zipcars for those coming up from the city) and they are going above and beyond in regards to COVID guidelines set forth by the state.
