Ruah is amazing: the house is gourgeous, the breakfast is delicious, Peter and Judy are the best hosts you can ever imagine.
It's a peaceful place where you can relax and enjoy life.
Words are not enough to explain how good it feels to stay here, you have to go!
We were there in july and we can't wait to come back!

We loved this B & B and would return. It is on Northern Lake George, which is an entirely different place than the Southern park of the lake. Our room was very nice, even with our private bath across the hall. The breakfast each morning was excellent and the hosts lovely.
While I did not have any reaction -- and I am sensitive to dust -- I did feel that the common areas could have used a dusting and polishing.
Plus, we saw and had to kill 2 large brown spiders -- one on the floor of our room and 1 on the vanity in the bathroom -- I guess that is part of being in the country.
Despite that, our experience at this B & B was excellent.

With so many places to see in the world, why is it that we have spent at least a week every summer for the past six years at this particular B&B? For a start, there are few places as truly rejuvenating as the beautiful Adirondacks, and the Ruah is situated in a perfect location on a hill overlooking Lake George. The small town of Hague is set apart from the tourist areas, yet has a charming Main Street with a general store, a few family owned restaurants and shops, and even a small museum. There is a public lakeside beach within walking distance of the Ruah, as well as numerous lovely nature trails for hikers. As for the more lively tourist attractions, the town of Bolton's Landing and the bustling Lake George Village are within reasonable driving distance. As for the Ruah itself, it is a residence of great charm and character, beautifully kept and decorated inside and with wonderfully landscaped grounds. The smallest of the guest bedrooms is perfectly comfortable, while the larger ones are enormous. The main living room has an antique piano, which musically-inclined guests may play with permission. The Ruah is operated by an endearing, hospitable, and very knowledgeable husband and wife. The breakfasts are superb and the morning conversations always entertaining and instructive. Most of all, there is a spirit of serenity that rests upon this house and its surrounding area that makes a stay at the Ruah truly restorative. It is this aspect that has kept us coming back every summer.

Ruah Bed and Breakfast is a magnificent 100 year old mansion.
We have been coming back each year for the last five years, my husband and I need to get away from our exhausting jobs this is the place for us.
This beautiful home takes you back in time each room is filled with beautiful antiques, old furnishings and excellent collection of Hudson River artist paintings. Lots of cozy sofas, chairs to sit and read a book or just to enjoy the quiet.
The enormous veranda filled with white furniture, cushions and beautiful plants. One can snooze or sit for hours over-looking the lake or take a walk enjoy the amazing gardens full of flowers or stroll up the mountain trails behind the house.

Many local attractions Peter and Judy well informed with suggestions. In town we enjoyed dining at local restaurants.

Hosts are most gracious, a variety breakfast offerings, different each time. Peter and Judy are excellent hosts. We would recommend Ruah to mature adults who enjoy a quite time at a beautiful mansion.
