So, this is our go to place for once a week outdoor dining in season. It's always terrific in ever respect. So this evening with temps falling into the 20's we stopped for an indoor diner. Warm, friendly & cheerful food served by familiar faces could not have made a dreary November evening brighter.
My excuse for going was that I had learned that they had bay scallops & I had heard that they did a wonderful job with them. I was not disappointed as diner was perfect.
To those who have not dined here, note that this a very casual restaurant, Most oof served on paper with plastic utensils. That doe not stop this from measuring up to far more formal venues. This spot, in the back of a marina, is first class & measures up well to other dining in the area.
Come of well poured drinks, wonderful food & good cheer. Don't allow thew cold to dissuade you.
A simple, small, lovely restaurant/cafe away from the hustle & bustle of the Hamptons.
Accessible by both boat and car with good food & pleasant help. Worth the visit if you're out there and looking for an inexpensive meal in a casual atmosphere.
what an excellent lunch experience that we had today at the Canal Cafe. Missy our waitress was so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. We ordered the butternut squash soup which was thick and delicious. Then we both ordered three flank steak tacos in a homemade corn tortilla shell with the fixings and a nicer touch of cilantro. You get 3 nicely filed tacos with a side of black beans....delicious. We also had a side of fries.....nice and crunchy.
