Description: The Inn Spot On The Bay serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cheffes take turns at the stove, Cheffe Pamela is at the helm for Sunday breakfast & brunch, and Cheffe Colette takes over for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. Part of the appeal, and what has made The Inn Spot so successful, is the fact that everything is made from scratch. The cheffes mantra is to use as much local produce and fare as possible. There are herbs, heirloom tomatoes and vegetables planted all around the restaurant property. The blueberries, rhubarb, quince and many other goodies come from Cheffe Pamela's family garden a few blocks away.

The website made it sound much nicer than it was.
There is no one on site before 3:00 PM to check in.
"Villas" were small shacks with outside entrances. It really is a little fishing village, not hotel accomodations.
Bedroom & bathroom were small, very musty smell. Shower curtain was covered with mold!
Nothing is open for food until late afternoon.
Do Not stay here.

Yes, we love your restaurant and this minor issue will not hinder anyone from going to dine there.
So what's they problem?
I'm sure that no one is seeking you out for a budget meal. So why not only serve genuine maple syrup with pancakes or waffles & not some generic pancake syrup as the default setting with an offered "upgrade" to the real deal at $3.00 surcharge?

Please just add the $3.00 to the cost of the waffles or similar & no one will care.
Honestly it looks like you are - exactly what you're not.

Breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner you have proven yourself to be a first class operation. Never allow yourself to look petty.

Thank for your review and suggestions Paul. We have offered our brunch option like this for a while now and hope that we never come off petty, we just want to give our diners options and believe it or not some people prefer the other syrup. We will take your suggestion into consideration as we update our menus seasonally and you have some good ideas. Hope to see you again soon!
Sincerely,
The Team at The Inn Spot On The Bay

Beautiful location for a restaurant with such potential. Actually the service was excellent...the waitress brought out our wine to Adirondack chairs set up on the shore. "Ahh. This is the life." We moved indoors for dinner, and were very pleased with menu choices. When the food arrived, in a timely, yet un-rushed manner, we both loved our apps. Crab bisque was delicious.. My husband had lobster chunks marinated in Irish whiskey. Yum. My soup portion was generous. His lobster pieces were served in a tiny dish... way too small for the $15 price! Entrees...I had roast 1/2 duck in a duck jus with marshmallow! Wild, right? But quite delicious if you're ok with a bit of sweetness. Again my husband was disappointed. Curried shrimp on rice. A real spicy kick that he loved, but the shrimp tasted of chlorine. At this point, we still loved the place...great ambience and a view to die for...but we started to lose some enthusiasm when the check arrived. Yikes! Granted, hubby had 4 glasses of wine (to my two), but only apps and entrees, with a decent tip (the waitress was great)...$210!!!! A bit much for a midweek dinner. Really, the main issue was price. The shrimp problem could have been a one time thing...but the price, ugh. Unfortunately, it will keep us from returning, and we are year-round residents. The talented chefs/owners need to rethink those prices. Cost obviously had something to do with the fact that there were only two tables occupied when we were there, where a restaurant nearby had a full parking lot! We WANT to like you, Inn Spot on the Bay!!

Granted it was Christmas Day and we wanted to be understanding of our waitress who may not have wanted to be working that day, however her nastiness was unparalleled. We wondered if she was in a "who can be meanest to a party of 6", contest. It was not an inexpensive meal and the food was only so-so. This place really has to up their game if they are going to stay in business
