Wow. First of all, we dined here while glamping at the mine. We were dressed very casual but the meal was very close to fine dining.
All staff were very welcoming, the Owner visits your table to see where you're travelling from, where you are staying and how you're enjoying the beginning of the culinary adventure.
Crusty warm bread is served with Olive Oil & balsamic reduction in the design of a diamond. Delicious.
We both ordered the "new" dinner special - grilled scallops. They came served on a slaw salad, with pickled sweet peppers & grilled romaine hearts. First time tasting grilled lettuce & I was pleased. Very interested mix of flavours & textures - I thoroughly enjoyed it. There may have been some moaning involved!
We were too full for dessert, but the Owner insisted in sending us home to our cabin with warm purple sweet potato pie (along with pecans, hot caramel sauce, whipped cream) to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving - very nice touch. Thank you.
Would highly recommend.
We also had ordered delivery of the wood oven pizza & were pleased at the meal.
If we're ever back in the area, we'll stop in again. Thank you!
