We had been traveling back from Nashville and decided that we just could not stand yet another meal at a highway rest area. This place is 3 minutes off the NY Thruway, in Herkimer, NY. The place is immaculate, service is very attentive, bathrooms are very clean. Additionally, the food is SUPER. Lots of choices, excellent quality and flavors. Portions are well sized and the prices are moderate. It’s family owned and operated. Absolutely the best meal that we have had on the road

As if out of a movie, everything that a diner has a reputation for is here. There’s a little “crazy” twist on some of it, but it’s all classic nostalgic, American Diner 101. And it’s all great!
Huge menu, huge portions, over the top decor and an experienced, efficient crew. The food was great too. Worth a stop for sure.

Old Diner old charm. Wait staff very upbeat. There Italian breakfast is so good. The place is so local that we didn't want to leave.

This place has quite a history and could have been just another grease pit but a couple from California (who had their own successful chain of restaurants) bought it and brought it back from a coma. There are license plates, frames, movie posters, and so much more adorning the walls and ceiling but not a speck of dust! My aunt and I tend to nitpick on details (good or bad) and this was a welcome surprise.

I just like your generic scrambled eggs and hashed browns, but they have a few specialty dishes that looked adventurous. Specifically, we tried the funnel cake fries and they did not disappoint! So soft on the inside, lightly crispy on the outside, dusted with powdered sugar and accompanied by a little cup of syrup. HEAVEN!
We also went for a late dinner. My aunt had a salad she was happy with and I had chicken tenders and fries. The fries are extra thick crinkle cut. So. Good.

We went in the dead of winter so there was never trouble getting a table but the place isn't that big so I could see it getting busy in better weather.
