With a lovely welcome by song birds as we arrived, and a lovely proprietor on the porch awaiting our arrival, we felt immediately relaxed and welcome. The accommodations were in period, spacious and immaculate; with all modern conveniences, down to the smallest details. Working WiFi, TV, cellphone charger next to the bed, good shower, even make-up wipes in the bathroom [which came in handy when we returned from the wedding were attending].
The breakfast buffet was filled with goodies, on a beautifully set table, with fresh fruit salad and OJ at each place, delicious frittatas, breakfast meats, blueberry pancakes, cereals, and fresh scones/donuts and breads. The coffee was delicious. P.S. Hot water kettle accessible 24/7 for coffee and teas as well.
They even had individual direction cards on the foyer table to get to local sites - specifically printed up with directions from the house. [Many fun things to do in the area - walks, hiking, antiques, FDR and CIA not far away.]
We truly enjoyed our stay, only wish it could have been longer.More
