We spent a night at the Beach Village, the staff speaks English, friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast was great Best of all walking distance to the beach. Take your own towels.
Should you require anything ask the assisting staff. Thanks Gina for your hospitality.

We will spend another night soon.
Value for money.

We had one of our warmest welcomes ever at The Beach Village.
Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
We had food at their restaurant, great matapa (local dish) and breakfast. We talked a lot with the staff and spent some time at the Bar located next to the pool and right at beach/ocean. Dream come true.
Would absolutely recommend this place to everyone: Backpackers, friends or couples.
Even though the hostel is a little outside of the city center the location is great. It‘s a 10-15min walk to the center or if you are to lazy they call a Tuktuk to pick you up.
Good job

Traveling, for me, is all about learning while having a good time. Learning about nature and humans and myself. And about the balance between this three. My time in Vilanculos at the Beach Village was in-total-balance learning. I thank the team for their part in this and recomend all cool people to go see for themselves.

The beachvillage is a really nice place to stay in vilankulos. Direvt located on the beach and quite close to the village itself (10 mins walk).
Its got good rooms and dorm. Reasonbly priced. The bar and pool are nice as well. Would recommend

The hostal seemed to be semi-abandoned and the restaurant didn't exist. Take care with Mario, the guy in charge of the bar: please pay your consumptions at the moment, because if you charge your drinks to the room you could find an unfairly increased bill. In addition, he altered the price of the drinks (as if the beer or the water were subject to any market fluctuations...). At least this place is in the beach front, Really well located at least...

Hello,
Thanks for your review. Positive or negative, it helps us to improve ourselves and it is always interesting.
At your arrival, I informed you that our restaurant was closed for the week because of some works to be done in the kitchen. I told you that there was no problem for you to use our facilities to have access to the self catering part and that it was also possible to order directely at our bar to the Mozambican restaurant a little higher up on the street and that the lady was able to deliver you without any problem if you wanted, her menu being available at the bar of our hostel. Regarding your consumption, I remember having asked you personally to open a tab to facilitate transactions and allow an overview of your consumption during your stay. In addition, drink prices are displayed at the bar, so Mario can not change them depending on his wishes and you have access to the real prices without difficulty.
I am really sorry for this misunderstanding and hope you enjoyed Vilanculos anyway !

No atmosfere! You should think this place dosen't exist any more.
Not very clean, almost no light in the rooms, the restaurant dont exist, you can't buy any food at all. The bar dosen't serve any drink, only water and soda.
We moved from this ghost area the next day, to their neibour Baobab backpacker.

Hello,
Thank you for your review! I confess that I was not present during your visit and can not judge by myself about your stay itself. My team was supposed to warn you at that time that the restaurant was closed due to construction work, but that 1) you have access to the self catering kitchen without any problem and 2) that you can order to the Mozambican restaurant down the street and make you deliver directly to Beach Village.
Regarding the bar, I admit to be surprised because we sell everything and everything is visible in our fridges: it goes from Gin&Tonic, to Amarula, sodas, beers and various ciders.
I hope that you have a good stay and will keep a good memory of Vilanculos and Mozambique ! :)
