We went to play there for Downwind Vilankulos, its a meet up event between the kite surfers´and we played at the end of the night. The accommodation was TOP. The staff was very friendly and the food very good also.

i been visit this hotel a lot for the pas years, as usual last minute i decided to fly to again and show vilanculos to my girlfriend,due they rules of booking up to 5nights on price on 210usd i stayed in resort paying 260usd/night that was over the budget but enjoying the stay.
i went on the night of 29 asking for 3 nights accommodation then one man didn't even approach from far as he was told me very loud no room,,,, i accepted and i went to the bar with my friend for drinks. he followed us and offer a room for 100usd, happy we accepted as we wanted to join the beach party next day of 31 Dec.
in the morning i call the hotel to inform my check in time due my boat trip to Bazaruto island. we came back at 4pm tired with our luggage, on check in and the reception told us that we have a room checked in with my name on a price of 100usd,but they couldn't check us in without Jalan permission. i called him, i saw him passing i was following to explain me he was very rude loud and talking to me badly in front of people at the reception. the he asked me if i want to stay i either pay 240 per night. i decided to leave not for the money issue but the way he treated me in front on people and in special my friend. i spend the night of 31 at Beach lodge luxury and pleasant place to be. My friend and i enjoy even with highers rate was the best choice.
This Dona Ana hotel need a white manager to make things work, im not racist im Mozambican i travel a lot and i can see the difference when a white manage a place.

I’ve been in the hotel Dona Ana for 3 days, this hotel has one of the best locations in Vilanculo, right next to the beach and next to the port of the city the fifty’s design make it a very charming hotel, although it’s under the level it should be, more investment and training of the stuff it’s need. Lovely garden. The negative points i notice it’s related to the Wi-Fi that is poor and only in the lobby area and the breakfast is very poor with no much of options. The rooms are very good with very comfortable beds, I loved the pillows. Overall with some improvement this hotel it’s definitely a place to be.
