Description: American Glory Restaurant is located in historic Hudson, NY, only two hours north of Manhattan along the scenic Hudson River. Situated in the heart of Hudson’s restaurant district on Warren Street, only a 15 minute ride from the Taconic State Parkway or NYS Thruway and within walking distance of the Amtrak station. American Glory specializes in legendary wood smoked BBQ and classic American comfort foods. Our menu includes many vegetarian and gluten free options. Housed in a masterfully renovated red brick firehouse, American Glory Restaurant boasts a rich history of dedicated firefighters. Formerly the H. Rogers Hose Company it was home to the second oldest volunteer fire department in the United States;organized in 1794. The firehouse has been meticulously restored to highlight the original red brick walls, wood floors and historic grand wooden staircase.American Glory is warm and inviting, filled with the aroma of wood smoked barbecue, hometown comfort foods, enjoyable music, good times and roaring laughter.A beautiful dark wood and mirror bar with ice chilled beer taps sits on the casual pub style first floor and expansive doors open to our sidewalk dining area. The second floor houses a spacious family dining room with seating for 100 people and doubles as an art gallery, featuring a different Columbia County artist each month. The additional private dining room with working fireplace and large screen TV seats 24 people, an ideal setting for business meetings, billiards, intimate gatherings and family Sunday dinners.

Ate dinner there and was a little disappointed with the BBQ offerings. It was okay, but definitely nothing to write home about!

Had pulled pork and beef brisket, they were good but about average for what we have had for BBQ. Pricey for the portion, but that is how BBQ usually is.

Great BBQ!
The waiter we had was awesome! He schooled us on one of the local whiskey companies and its history. He was very attentive to our dining and drinking needs and even took the time to write down some of the local hotels for us as we had decided to stay another night in the area.
He also was very knowledge about the area (things to do) and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
This restaurant is very clean as well.

My first meal in New York was BBQ? Yes and it competed very nicely with Texas and Kansas City. Very friendly and fairly priced.

The BBQ is 5 star. Lots of options - great sides - yummy everything.
Good bar (I wished they served Newcastle beer) also with high top tables around. The upstairs dining room is a gem. If you can walk
upstairs, ask for a table up there instead of staying on the first level.
It's a great space - with great food.
Oh - and another earlier visit I had the BEST fried chicken and waffles special. We have likely been to
American Glory 6 or more times over the last 10 years. It's the go to place for quality 'cue.
