The Main Road Biscuit opened about 10 months ago. It looked very homey from the outside and always seems to have customers. We decided to stop in for breakfast. We ordered the omelette of the day and a custom made omelette. Each order came with a biscuit. The food was very good as were the biscuits. The food was fresh as were the ingredients used. The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating. There is a friendly atmosphere in this restaurant. The restaurant is small but consists of two small stores combined. Everything was clean including the restrooms. While we were there the back door was opened without a screen which allowed annoying flies into the restaurant. The flies landed on us and the customers who were sitting at the table next to ours. Much of the food such as biscuits, cookies etc are on display on a counter uncovered. I'm sure the flies were landing not only on the customers but the opened food both on display and in front of the customers. I suggest they order and install a screen door for the back door and maybe one for the front door if they are planning to keep the doors open to eliminate the fly issue. Also, the food on display on the counter should be covered to prevent flies from landing on it and also from human germs. The food is a little expensive for breakfast but good. On my receipt for the custom omelette it says "3-egg omelette"...there is no way that 3 eggs were used, if it was then they were the smallest eggs ever.
