My parents have been going here since it opened 38 years ago!! We celebrated dad's 92nd birthday here this weekend !!
Lucete and her husband are the most gracious hosts
The twilight special at $31.95 is a steal. The food is authentic french the ambience and decor so lovely and you can actually have a conversation without screaming
The coquilles st Jacques is divine
It's a fabulous place for a party
Love love love this place!!

This small place is still putting out great food, with attention to the smallest details. Some parking in back after 5 PM & street parking is available, make sure you save room go for desert. Been coming here since they opened 35 years ago, make sure you call Lucette for a reservation.

We had been in this restaurants a couple of times maybe about four or five years ago. I remember we like it. Now we decide to revisit this place with mostly good reviews. However, we were very upset. Just one dish was very good is onion soup. All others like duck with peach sauce, sea bass special were very poor quality.
After this visit we are never comeback.

This is a restaurant in business over 20 years. La Baraka is run by a charming woman and her family - French food with a North African twist. Some of the spices are not common to French food but the Moroccan and Tunisian influences make the food even more exciting.
The soups are always excellent. The muscles prepared as appetizers are different from any others. The variety of fish is huge. On our last visit the Trout almandine was particularly good. Fruit tarts are a fine dessert.

Everything about this restaurant is superb. I will take it over the fanciest restaurants in Manhattan. This time I had the hanger steak which was tender and perfectly cooked.
Tried the 3 soup sampler and it was great. My husband had the trout and loved it.
The service is phenomenal. They watch you carefully without being obtrusive.
The menu has so many offerings so there is something for everyone no matter what kind of diet you have.
Also the decor is quite nice and we had no problem with a noise level during dinner.
The owner oversees everything and is lovely.
If you are anywhere in the area, or even if you are not, this is a must visit.
