Al and Helga were very friendly and made us feel at home. Our stay coincided with a heat wave and they kept us well stocked with cold bottled water whenever needed. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We certainly did not go hungry! We stayed in the Bay Room which had everything we needed and was clean. As a previous reviewer said, the door lock didn't work properly due to some warping of the frame. My only small disappointment was not seeing two cat "greeters" that were mentioned on their website. (One of the cats had since died and the other was too shy to come out and see guests.) Some kitty snuggles would have made it feel more like home. We headed home with a bag of cookies for the road. It's a little off the beaten path but if you're looking for a quaint and quirky B&B experience it's worth driving a few miles off the interstate.

On the wall in the entrance hall hangs a plaque, "Enter as Strangers. Leave as Friends." How true! During our three night stay Helga and Al did all to make us feel comfortable in their home. Delicious breakfasts, late afternoon tea & cookies, a comfortable room & bed, a beautiful Victorian house and furnishings and hosts full of delightful conversation. What more can you expect...

We made a last minute decision to go away Labor Day weekend and visit the Omi Sculpture garden as well.
Lucky for us this old fashioned B&B had a room for us and served us a very nice breakfast on Sunday as well a cookie care package for the trip! Hosts Helga and Al are easy to talk to and very accommodating; they even mailed me the pullover we left behind. I subtracted one star only in that the queen bed was too firm for my taste.
