My wife and I stayed at the Oia Castle for a portion of our honeymoon. The staff is absolutely wonderful and will cater to your needs. The rooms are large, clean, and you cannot beat the sunset views from your private balcony. You have the ability to customize your breakfast order and the staff will either bring it to your balcony or your room, whichever you prefer. The staff is also good when asking for advice for excursions or restaurant recommendations. The hotel definetely exceeded our expectations in every way!

My wife and I stayed at Art Maisons 'Oia Castle' in their Aqua Suite for 8 days in August 2012.
The hotel is fantastic. We had travelled to Paris, Rhodes, Marmaris and Athens before finishing in Santorini to rest prior to returning to the real world.
We were met at the entrance to Oia Village (at the Post Office) by Tasos. With a warm greeting, he loaded our bags onto his trolley and off we set on the 10 minute walk to Hotel Reception. There we met Jordan and Daniella- both very friendly. As we arrived early, Jordan sent us to Kastro restaurant for a delicious, early lunch while our suite was prepared. When the room was ready, Jordan came to get us to escort us to the suite to explain the ins and outs.
The Aqua suite is beautiful. All white, as is the standard. A cave style suite with spacious living / dining area (never used) arched windows and door through to the bedroom. A complete kitchen (never used, other than the fridge and coffee machine). Old, clawed bath in the bathroom, with matching vanity etc. Off the bathroom is the completely enclosed / indoor cave swimming pool. This is quite a novelty, complete with variable lights from standard soft blue and green to flashing multicoloured disco style. To be honest, the pool was an attraction that didn't meet our expectations. It would have been nicer if it had extended outside to some extent. Additionally, it was not cool enough for my liking, being almost tepid.
The terrace outside the room is shared with the adjacent Marine Suite. We ate breakfast here every morning, enjoying the beautiful view and perfect temperature. Purely by coincidence, we only shared the table for breakfast with our neighbours once, simply due to the elected times beiing different.
The provided breakfast is nice but nothing spectacular. Staff will certainly endeavour to meet any special requests you have though.
Downstairs and to the left is Aqua Suite's small private terrace. This has a couple of sun lounges and a deep bench cut back into the cliff face, adorned with soft pillows.
Downstairs to the right is Marine Suite's private terrace. This terrace also has sun lounges and a pillowed bench cut into the cliff. Importantly though, it also has a Jacuzzi - again, this is sunk back into the cliff. Hotel management offered us the jacuzzi on one of our evenings. It was absolutely perfect. I think it is better than the cave pool in our suite, because it is outside. All three terraces and the jacuzzi face the famous Santorini sunset. The view from these rooms would have to be approaching the best available on the island. It was particularly nice to sit in the jacuzzi, sipping champagne (a gift from the hotel), watching the sunset while the rest of the world had to sit on the stairs below the hotel or clamber onto a roof for an inferior view.
Following an enquiry to hotel staff regarding a local laundry, the hotel offered to do our laundry (not ironing- they provided us with an ironing board when requested) for a minimal rate, well below normal hotel rates. This sort of service is exceptional.
So, down to pros and cons.
Pros:
If not the best, then very close to the best possible location in Oia as far as the view goes.
A very romantic setting and accommodation.
Warm, friendly, genuinely helpful staff.
Beautiful room. Always spotlessly clean.
Welcome bottle of sparkling wine and hand made chocolates is a nice touch.
Private indoor pool.
Private terrace.
Staff ensure your privacy at all times. The only time we were called was to offer tour arrangements or to check on our breakfast orders.
Laundry service was most appreciated.
Cons:
Breakfast is less than spectacular- this is only a very minor issue, however the hotel's rates are expensive and the meal does not fit the bill.
Aqua Suite Indoor pool would be swapped for the jacuzzi anyday- a much cheaper room rate for the Marine Suite.
The first bottle of water was on the house, after this it is an expense added to the account. Are you kidding?
Room for improvement:
Given the standard of the hotel, I would expect a higher standard of breakfast.
Given the standard of the hotel and the rates charged, I think daily cocktails, drinks and hors d'oeuvres should at least be offered. In fact I would say that it almost seemed as if this was missing. Just a bottle of wine and a small platter each day to enjoy with the spectacular sunset would fit.
Water is cheap and to expect guests to pay for it on top of the high rates is preposterous. To offer continuous free bottled water would be a very cheap, but appreciated gesture. I have stayed at several hotels, all over the world, where bottled water is free.
Would I stay here again? You bet I would. Probably in the Marine Suite.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Having stayed in the Aqua Suite with indoor cave pool, and looking through Marine Suite with it's own outdoor but very private jacuzzi, I would choose Marine Suite.

My girlfriend and I were planning a nice peaceful vacation this year. Just both of us without family, friends or work. A couple of days in a totally calmed environment. We even placed our vacation on the end of June just to avoid the hordes of turists of the end-summer time. We selected Santorini which is a nice little island and just to be alone we chose a small decent hotel Art Maisons.
Our selection turned to be the perfect one. Although Santorini is a popular tourist place Oia village has been a peacful place to be alone and be caressed by Art Maison's luxury the same time. We selected the honeymoon suit and at 40 degrees it was superb to dive in the suiit1s pool as we arrived after the 20 minutes walk having had a nice lunch at the harbour.
The suit is a perfect choice for all who like to enjoy the famous Santorini sunset or to take a nap listening to the waves and the seagulls. Having the decent breakfast of the hotel the same time makes you feel to reach heaven! We are planning to return next year with some of our closest friends.

Room Tip: If you are as lazy as I am choose a suit with a pool. It's just feeling like a king.

Having stayed in 5 star resorts around the world, I have to say this hotel surpassed all our expectations. The hotel has the best spot on the Island and the personal service from the staff was outstanding.
Jordan, Tasos and Daniella are all a true credit to the hotel.
Our stay was very special and romantic and we can't wait to return.
To sum the hotel up in one word "Exquisite".

Amazing team, very helpful and gave much more than expected. Spacious rooms and wonderful balconies, the best view of Sunset in Oia. You don't feel like leaving the room. Luxury experience with affordable price compared to other cities in Europe. Breakfast is generous and YUMMY!

Room Tip: Recommend Volcano Villa for families with direct view of the donkeys going up and down the stairs :-), and for Romantic Couples the Aqua Suite with indoor pool and Marine Superior Suite with an amazing outdoor Jacuzzi with a breath taking view, they have private terraces that face the sea and have excellent view of the sunset. A daily visit to the pool is a must to get the perfect tan.
