We stayed in one of the Tupa's for three nights and used the snowshoe trails for multiple days. The trails were in great shape, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the ski shop and snack bar were well stocked.
Our Tupa was comfortable but this is not a luxury accommodation. The kitchen was stocked with cookware and dishes, dish soap and towels, coffee pot and filters. Linens and towels were provided as well as the firewood needed for our wood stove.
Fresh firewood was placed on our porch each day for that nights use. Our steps to our cabin(Tupa) were shoveled and sweep and sand applied each day we stayed.
I also took advantage of a XC ski lesson and was pleased to be able to learn as much as I did in one hours time. The instructor, although young, was excellent and patient.
I would highly recommend Lapland if you are interested in XC or snowshoeing. I would also recommend packing your breakfasts, and dinners if staying in their Tupa's. They had frozen catered meals available for dinner, but we found them to be less than satisfactory. Bring your trays of lasagna that you can get several nights out of. Or drive into Northville, a 15 min drive which is what we did each night.More
