Lapland Lake is a wonderful family-run cross country center. We have been going for nearly 30 years and it has maintained its quality, service, and warmth. We stayed in a tupa recently and really enjoued it. Paul and Kathy are great!.

We are summer people, not cross country skiers. The lake is wonderful. The cabins are clean and well equipped. The walks in the woods are gentle. The Northfield-lake placid trail is near, with great waterfalls this year. Only four hours drive from the my metro area. Restful and rejuvenating.

This is an incredible place for family adventures and a quiet place to enjoy being out in nature. It was a huge hit with the family! Most days we got out to paddle, fish, hike and swim. Roasting marshmallows down by the lake with Paul was a huge hit as well! The tupas were a great place to kick back after the day's adventure with the ability to cook all your meals while on site. The boys especially liked the fire pit in the evening. Kathy and Paul make you feel welcome and are available if you have any questions or requests. We look forward to our next visit at Lapland Lake!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Lapland Lake. The kids loved the private beach with floats and sand toys provided. Lawn games are available at the lodge and the tupas have everything we needed for our stay. The fire pit and grill available allowed for some wonderful times in the evening. Loved the sound of the creek from our enclosed porch in the morning too.

By winter, a bustling nordic ski center, for 3 seasons its a mild-mannered Adirondack retreat center. Retreat to the quiet woods and hills, to the lake with its beach and paddle boats (no motors) and to the trails. The lone beaver in the pond was a hit with the young.
The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has the basics, there's a wood-fired stove for nippy nights and a fire ring with a grill. The sauna is closed during the epidemic.
In summer the winter-sport trails are walkable. The Northville-Placid Trail comes within 400 meters of the beach. Hike to Northville, 12 miles, or Lake Placid, 120+. WalknWroll
