A wonderful wine trail, around one of the Finger Lakes, enjoy a wide selection of wines, places to eat and B&B's
This trail can be done in a day if ambitious as the distance from wineries aren't very long. The views in many of these are beautiful and had pleasant exchanges in all that I attended. Purchased a wine passport for myself and its worth it $12 and it includes tastings at 7 wineries. Dr. Franks isn't a part of it but their tasting is free for less than 8 people so you can add an 8th winery too. I highly suggest this trail if in Finger Lakes.
This was our first time on the Keuka Lake Wine Trail, and we were pleasantly surprised. Although it is not as populated as Seneca with the wineries, this was also a benefit to tasting (very few buses). There were a lot of rieslings in the wineries on this trail and they were almost all very good.
This review is just for the Holiday event
We were really excited to find out that the same weekend we would be in town. The event is for 7 wineries where you receive a wreath and ornament at each one. I'd say you receive an ornament at one and paper ones at the others
Each winery was good in its own way so it hard to review the entire trail fairly as some do not participate with the event.
I would recommend the event as for a couple you get 4 tastings and food at each winery which is a good deal. Next time I will skip the line for the ornaments and enjoy more of the event.
We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience at Keuka Holidays! It was a busy weekend for sure! Hope to see you again soon :)
We just returned from the Holiday Tour. It was very well run by the participating wineries. Our first stop was crowded and busy, but we anticipated that. We also timed it wrong, as a few limos and one small bus were arriving at the same time we did. The food parings with the wine were very good and appreciated!
We spent a few days working our way around Keuka Lake and the wine trail. There is so much to see and do! Some of the highlights were Keuka Spring Winery and Dr. Frank's. There is still plenty to come back and see and taste. Weekdays are less busy so try a weekday getaway on the trail.
Thank you for the great feedback! We hope to see you again soon :) Cheers!
