It was Hudson Valley Restaurant week and we were able to get a reservation for the first Saturday night. The restaurant is small and a bit noisy but we were anticipating a great meal so we waited patiently a few minutes in the bar while our table was cleaned off. There is a 3 course price fixed meal and I started with some delicious mussels in a wine and pesto sauce with some nice bread to soak it up. This was a very generous portion for an appetizer and I enjoyed it very much. The main course was even more generous and a unique pork schnitzel with mozzarella, red peppers and a poached egg to top it off. The pork was tender and the schnitzel breading was perfect. The cheese and the egg turned this into a very different and special dish. I was very full after that but had to have the salted caramel bread pudding with cookie crumbles for dessert which topped off this fantastic dinner. I highly recommend this great local restaurant for a very fine meal anytime of the year.
