It is my third visit within 9 months. The food is fantastic. Certainly, credit to the CIA-trained chefs.

But service continues to falter. I see entirely new waitstaff each time.

This most recent one dropped a used fork from the neighbouring table on to my pants leg and then did not even bother to apologise. We kept having to flag for service.

Service is a part of the entire dining experience and so I hope the owners fix it. Would love to continue to return and to recommend friends.

Btw, the prices are for a fine-dining restaurant.

The restaurant is in a strip mall that looks very ordinary The food is better than ordinary and the bar is lively and takes up most of the space. The place is usually fun and not a good choice for a quiet night out.

11/11/17 - Party of four. 6:30pm reservation. Seated promptly on time. Crew is in a storefront location; consequently it is not wide but long & narrow. There is also a back dining room that also has a large wine rack covering an entire wall. The front dining area is shared with the bar. They are separated by a long countertop running the length of the room. The entire area was filled with customers (both bar & dining tables), had a "busy" feeling to it, and sounded pretty loud. We were seated in the back room, which was much quieter. And since we were the only patrons seated back there it felt more relaxed and private. (This area would be good for private parties of maybe 30 people or fewer.)

One of us started with Mushroom Soup, another with the Crew Salad, and I had the Goat Cheese Wontons. The soup and the wontons were delicious. My wife thought the salad was a little overdressed. They also served bread with a little dish of butter. Believe it or not, the butter was a big hit with all of us. It had something mixed into it that gave it a sweet taste we all loved.

We ordered four different entrees: Fall Pappardelle, Orecchiette Pasta, Ragu Bolognese, and Filet Mignon. The Pappardelle and the Orechiette dishes were excellent. The Bolognese wasn't what was expected; it was plentiful meaty enough, but hardly any red sauce which is what my wife thought it would have. (However, it did not have red sauce in it's description.) She also thought it was a bit salty. The Filet Mignon was the most tender piece of meat I've ever had. It was perfect from start to finish. The portion sizes of all dinners were very filling.

Overall we had an excellent evening at Crew. The food was wonderful, the privacy of the back room was appreciated, the service was great. I titled this review "A Real Treat" for one reason: the prices. While we all thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Crew, it is on the expensive side. It's not a restaurant that we'd frequent, but when we want to treat ourselves to an excellent night out at any cost, Crew is "A Real Treat".

A small but lovely restaurant where we were told the owner and chef was trained at the CIA. The hostess and the server were both excellent, and each dish we had was a delight to the palate, and eye as well.

The staff at the hotel recommended this hotel with a promise of a CIA trained chef. The menu was interesting and there were a number of appealing items. Food was well prepared and tasty but not yet exceptional. As we found in many of the restaurants in this area, the food could have packed a more flavorful punch. It felt a little light in complexity to make it downright memorable.
