Comfortable, clean, relatively quiet, basic roadside motel. the room had all the basics I look for in a cut rate place for a one night stay. The office/dining room (for breakfast) is rustic and attractive and the breakfast was pretty simple but adequate. Nothing

This is an average motel on one of the scenic roads a short distance away from some of the main towns . The rooms were ok and comfortable. Nothing special but good enough for a short stay or single person. The morning continental breakfast was alright, typical stuff. The owner of the Lodge was very helpful and friendly in giving . directions and recommending places to see. Nice grounds to walk around.

Just got home from this lodge, stayed there this weekend to see the fall foliage upstate. It was a great room, with very nice amenities. Though it was simple, it had everything you need. The kitchenette room (which we had) was lovely & came with dinnerware, pots, pans, and a tea kettle. The only two small complaints I have are the walls are not very sound-proof. I could hear my neighbor snoring next-door. Also, the wifi is almost non-existant & don't expect to have cell phone service. The lodge is pretty much located in between the mountains so you won't have service. It's definitely great if you want to go "off the grid" for a few days. But the lodge, overall, was great & located relatively close to various sights, trails, and tours. There is also a beautiful river behind the lodge that you can go down to. I'm sure if there was a more accessible trail down to the lake, but my fiance and I traversed up & down a very steep path to get to it. But it was a worthwhile view.

The rooms are simple, with two beds, a mini fridge, a small table, and a small bathroom. There is wifi, and a breakfast of cereal, oatmeal, coffee, fruit, and bagels/muffins is provided. There was no air conditioning in our room, so we slept with our windows open. Be aware, sound travels far in the valley, so if you are a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs because you can hear the traffic on the road at night. If you want something cushy, don't come here, but if you're just fine with simple and clean, you'll be satisfied. As a hint, if you need cell service, it is spotty, but we went to the intersection of 42 and 23A, and went toward the cemetery, and were able to get service.

We recently stayed 4 days at this beautiful lodge. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was super clean. They offered a continental breakfast and free Wi-Fi. We had a t.v. in our room but the satellite reception was terrible so we didn't use it. The location is secluded and very quiet. We had a great stay and will be back again!!
