I originally showed up to stay at another hotel in the area, but they sold out. The young man at the desk was then gracious enough to refer me to some hotels that may have some rooms left, one of which being the holiday inn in renseallear. I guess the front desk phone was acting up because he had to make the call on speaker and I listened as the most unenthusiastic associate, by the name of craig I believe, answered the phone sounding half asleep. He then proceeded to be extremely rude to the desk agent who was simply asking if they had availability. Just as the calling agent was about to say that he was sending a guest over the holiday inn associate cut him off and said “yea I can’t talk” and hung up on him. I was surprised how much the young man managed to keep his composure. I told him I was not even interested in staying at an establishment with those kind of employees but to give me the number anyway. I then called back and he answered the phone in that same dull tone and I asked to speak with or be transferred to the voicemail of a manager, and he asked “in regards to what?” I responded that I had a complaint I wanted voiced, without another word the phone went silent. I said hello many times with no response and the call ended. I have literally never experienced this kind of rude disrespect at any hotel I’ve been to. It was absolutely unacceptable and I would rather get back on the road and drive a couple hours up then stay at an establishment like that.
