A group of three business professionals stopped at the former Hogans Hideaway, now The Hideaway, for dinner and drinks. The newly remodeled restaurant was comfortable and welcoming (much brighter and open feel than it used to have). Our waiter, Brendan, was helpful, explaining that the food is Farm-to-Table. We sampled many of the appetizers and a couple salads. Fried rice balls were savory, the caprese salad was great (confirmed that the cheese was, indeed, local), mac-n-cheese was good, Buffalo poutine was heavy (what do you expect from fries and cheese), but so good. Drinks were well balanced, if not a little on the strong side. Nice selection of beers on tap. Priced reasonably (mid-range for Rochester). I would go again and bring friends.
