We visited for 2 nights in December received a warm welcome and some Moroccan tea, we found the wifi router was not plugged in and when we asked we were told it would be fixed the following day (this wasn't the case) our room was nicely decorated but freezing cold, we were served dinner (150MAD for 2 people) which was very tasty, soup, tagine and yogurt, thankfully they had a fire, though it seemed pretty inefficient, we sat as close as possible and were still cold. When we woke the next day (still freezing) we were disappointed to find there was no hot water, and there was no chance we fancied a cold shower, something I'm sure they can get away with in the warm summer months, breakfast was nice and we had a wonderful tour around the mountains with Omar, although perhaps a little tougher than first described (took 6hrs not 4) when we went to pay there was a little dispute over the cheap price we had reserved with booking.com and talk of adding tax on top but we argued our side and ended up paying the original price.
Over all we left feeling like this place would be awesome in the summer with a bit more going on and not being freezing cold the whole time, the service we received was good but just felt a little like perhaps the warm water boiler and wifi had been switched off to save money while they had less guests over the quieter months.

We had a very pleasant experience when we stopped at Dar Tighoula guest house while on a trip through Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys. After taking a rest on comfortable couches while sipping delicious green mint tea, we had traditional Kasbah lunch with plenty of wonderful authentic flavors.

Dar Tighoula guest house is located in the valley surrounded by mountains and beside children playing somewhere in the distance and prayer sounds from Mosques, there is no another sound, what makes this place very quite, almost mystique. We would highly recommend to spend some time in Dar Tighoula guest house to get a feeling of local Berber spirit and to get in touch with nature. There is a lot of opportunities for hiking and trecking in the surrounding mountains/valleys. Do not miss such an opportunity!

Room Tip: inspiring place

Perfect view from the nice and comfortable terrace. Clean and space rooms. Nice and helpful hosts. Welcome drink - Moroccan tea was delicious. Breakfast was the best from whole stay in Moroccan guest-houses (3 jams, honey, butter, green and black olives, olive oil, eggs, tea, coffee, milk and bread). Dinner was fine and for a good price (6 Eur/person) and you will get a soup (big bowl) or salad + main course (usually tagine and bread) + dessert and free bottled water. We stayed there 2 nights and got 2 different dinners. Guest-house is 5 minutes walk from the beginning of trek to Jbel Toubkal. Parking is available on the above street for free.

No hot water in the morning.

We visited for lunch during a trip to the Atlas Mountains. The food was absolutely delicious! The views from the dining area were fantastic and service also good.
We received a warm welcome on arrival which was typical of Morocco :)

We stayed at Ahmed's guesthouse for 2 and a half weeks and enjoyed every minute. The hospitality and attentiveness from the owners and staff was exceptional. Food cooked every meal time, everyday, proper Berber hospitality. Lovely, kindhearted, beautiful people, who made us all feel very welcome. Rooms are beautiful, traditional and colourful. Would recommend to stay when in Imlil - i will definitely return.
