I went to morocco with two of my friend to climb Mt. Toubkal. We stayed in this Dar for a night. Firstly we couldn't find it as the sign wasn't clear. But eventually we made it. Once we were in the Dar, we received a warm welcome from Ahmed (the owner). He took us upstairs to the terrace and served us Moroccan tea and snacks. The view from the terrace is amazing and you can see atlas mountains from there. Traditional dinner was served and I have to say I enjoyed every bit of it. Rooms are very nice and tidy. We left our car outside the Dar and it was looked after. I am going back to imlil on May 2018 and definitely will be staying there.

We booked this Riad for Christmas day and were not disappointed. Everything is of a high standard.
The Hotel has great facilities, roof terrace, and staff. Very welcoming.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Imlil.

A great base in the Atlas Mountains in Imlil slightly out of town with brilliant views of Mt Toubkal. Comfortable basic rooms at a very good price with breakfast included.
Hospitable friendly family run business, three course dinner if you reserve it in the morning for 70D per person and they try to provide dishes you would like to try out.
If you have transport there are plenty of places to visit, Ourigane, Oukaimeden, Asni, Ourika, Sidi Fatma and brilliant mountain views and hill walking.
The very friendly and industrious Berber people are very welcoming wherever you go, thanks for everything! A.

We read great reviews of this place and headed up from Marrakech - only to find ourselves freezing four to a room with no heating and trying to keep a smoky fireplace alight to stay warm. This place is extremely basic - despite a long-fading makeover around 2010, its basically a pretty dirty hostel reached by a mud track. Internet had broken down - apparently, looking at the reviews, months ago. The staff were friendly and the food OK. Location and view are also breathtaking. But staying there was a trial - and at 20 euros, the room was overpriced for what it was, as was the dinner. Half a chicken in a tagine for four - for 200 dirham. Nope.

Room Tip: choose a room in a different hotel

We visited for 2 nights in December received a warm welcome and some Moroccan tea, we found the wifi router was not plugged in and when we asked we were told it would be fixed the following day (this wasn't the case) our room was nicely decorated but freezing cold, we were served dinner (150MAD for 2 people) which was very tasty, soup, tagine and yogurt, thankfully they had a fire, though it seemed pretty inefficient, we sat as close as possible and were still cold. When we woke the next day (still freezing) we were disappointed to find there was no hot water, and there was no chance we fancied a cold shower, something I'm sure they can get away with in the warm summer months, breakfast was nice and we had a wonderful tour around the mountains with Omar, although perhaps a little tougher than first described (took 6hrs not 4) when we went to pay there was a little dispute over the cheap price we had reserved with booking.com and talk of adding tax on top but we argued our side and ended up paying the original price.
Over all we left feeling like this place would be awesome in the summer with a bit more going on and not being freezing cold the whole time, the service we received was good but just felt a little like perhaps the warm water boiler and wifi had been switched off to save money while they had less guests over the quieter months.
