We stayed one night in a beautiful cabin in the resort, in preparation for our gorilla trek the next day at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. We were greeted as we arrived by Manager Sherina and her team. She immediately apologized for the extraordinarily rough road leading to the resort, but no worries, the road is over volcanic rock and part of the adventure! She offered us hot towels and a welcome drink, which were just what we needed.
Our cabin was absolutely gorgeous inside. It was huge, with a huge bathroom and plenty of hot water. Our porch overlooked the spectacular volcano Muhavura.
The food at dinner and breakfast the next morning was delicious, and the service delivered by Sherina’s team was impeccable. They also packed a great lunch for our gorilla trek.
Sadly, we only stayed one night would. We would love to stay a couple more days, because of the wonderful staff and the beautiful scenery.
Highly recommended - and stay at least two nights!
