Just fantastic!! The hard tented lodge was rustic with a splash of luxury. We were here for only one night. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff is so fantastic and will bend over backwards to make your staff perfect. The location is on a river, with its soothing running water to lull you to sleep at night. A hot shower was provided in the room and was perfect in the open bathroom. No real privacy. Animals are free to roam, A securtiy guard will escort to and from the restaurant at night. The food was really great, always to much! Dinner by the fire, with candlelight was lovely. No bugs! Be sure to tip at the end of your stay. There is a tip box in the lobby.

Room Tip: We had a triple. The classic tent was comfortable, the bathroom was really nice. Very clean.

Spectacular riverside location and super-comfortable/spacious accommodation - Andrew, Donaldson, Davis and the whole team were absolutely invested in making sure our short stay (2 nights) was perfect. The food is great, the open dining room/bar and sundeck/boma area are perfect spots to relax, the service courteous, discreet and friendly. For bird watchers, there's even a pair of resident African wood owls! Be aware that security guards are on duty overnight (a requirement for all lodges) in small huts behind bandas 1,2 and 10 - so ask for nos 3-9 if you'd rather avoid whispering/snoring from the shrubbery in the small hours! Otherwise, this lodge offers a little slice of paradise and a genuine sense of remoteness; we would love to have stayed longer.

Sadly we were only here for one night. My 'tent' was fantastic. Spacious with an en suite. There is no hot water but one can order a hot shower and in 15 mins hot water will be available for a lovely shower. This is luxury living.

My room overlooked the river and the elephants arrived and wallowed in the water just after we arrived.

The food was fantastic. The staff were even better.

I left that place with a heavy heart as I did not spend enough time there. It is not a place to rush through. Take your time. Appreciate it.

Having been driven for what seemed to be a very long time through the Queen Elizabeth National Park, we arrived at Ishasha Wilderness Camp...indeed an attractive place in the middle of nowhere! From the moment we arrived to when we sadly departed after 2 nights, the Manager, Andrew and his team left no stone unturned to ensure that we were pampered during our stay at the Camp. The tented camp is sited by a river and it was most pleasant sitting at our private verandah listening to birdsong and watching out for possible sightings of animals across the river. At the end of a game drive it was sheer pleasure returning to a bush shower where 20 litres of hot water is provided for the use of each guest. The very comfortable beds complete with their mosquito nets ensured a good rest before embarking on the following day's adventure. The food was of an excellent standard and can rival any other award-winning restaurant. We especially loved the fresh fruit juices at breakfast which were all from the local fruits. What makes this Camp quite unique is the fact that it is visited at night by the 'residents' of the Park and guests are advised to be accompanied by a torch bearing staff member when leaving the tent while it is still dark in the morning and after sunset. We thank you, Andrew and your team for giving us this opportunity to experience the splendid hospitality of IWC.

This is a tented camp with 'bush showers'. The rooms are large with the bed in one section and a flushing toilet and shower in an adjoining section. The communal area was comfortable and had wi fi. Tables were placed outside when the weather was good and the fire was lit. The company which we travelled with arranged for us to have sundowner drinks and a bush breakfast while we were here, on an escarpment a short distance from the camp. These were fabulous. The staff were fantastic and made the whole occasion very special. The beds were very comfortable.
